    GREAT Especially for made in China.I bought the two of the four inch clamps. I was expecting them to be decent but cheapies. For 14 bucks these clamps are an awesome buy! They are super heavy duty, the smaller 4 inch still has the huge Acme threaded bolt that the larger ones have and they are nice and hefty. Awhile ago I bought two really cheap Chinese C-Clamps with super thin threads and the thing was just crap overall, the plate at the top of the bolt broke off on both of them cause it was a cheap piece of Chinese sheet metal, I also have an old 1990s Craftsman C-Clamp that I found in a box after several moves, it too has the Acme threads and is pretty decent in quality. This Yost Clamp is almost twice the heft of the Craftsman one. In the future I will be buying the 8 inch versions as well, I thought the 4 inch may be kinda useless but boy was I wrong.5Same quality as the more expensive ones at a lower priceThese are good quality c clamps at a great price. I use them at work ,they are strong5Way stronger than any imported clampThe 6 inch Yost C clamp I bought is significantly more robust that any other C clamp I have in my shop. It cost more money but I expect I'll never break it as I have with my imports. This one is perfect for disc brake jobs.5Great clamp!This is a well made forged steel c-clamp. It's like having extra muscle - it gets the job done! It's heavy as heck but it's fantastic! Love it!5Great, but listing corrections are neededThe correct part number is 404-Y, the attached pictures are what you will receive. Also, the black oxide finish has recently been replaced with zinc, so you're only going to get the black if you find some new-old stock somewhere. Yost doesn't have any black oxide 4" left, but do have some 6" and 8" left in black oxide. The listing and product data need to be updated on both these counts.These are very nice, strong, rigid clamps. The drop forging and finishing are great, the curved throat makes it much easier to get into tight spots, and the 4" size are an absolute STEAL at just $13. I'll be buying more of these.5WOW GREAT CLAMPS!We needed some big clamps and the cheap ones that get tweaked were NOT what we wanted. I'm tired of getting junk tools that don't last. In the end its a wasteful purchase.I bought 2 of the Yost 408-D 8" and 2 of the name brand clamps that are much more expensive. They look almost identical. Both work great so far. The reason to buy good tools like clamps is that 10 or 20 years from now, they still work as they did when new.Time will tell but it looks like the Yost makes a great heavy duty clamp.5Heavy DutyVery nice c-clamp, just them to compress leaf spring on my 3/4 ton. While these aren't US made, they are very, very well made, and i have no doubt they will last. Very, very heavy duty c-clamps, a lot better than an harbor frieght, Craftsmens, of Irwin c-clamp i have ever used.5Stout C Clamps. These will last many generations to come.Little beast clamps, these can be passed down a few generations when I m done with them. Buy once cry once. These clamps are solid!5High end heavy dutyHigh end for a good price. It's definitely worth the money. Way better than most with a proper handle for the size. Forged steel. Can't go wrong. I've had good reliability with yost products5Way better than cast iron clampsThese clamps are built much heavier than the cheaper cast iron ones. The screw has a heavy acme thread, like what you'd see on a good vice. The pitch is a little on the steep side, which is a trade off, it moves faster when you're trying to take up a lot of slack, but you have to turn harder to get a similar clamp force. However, you can really crank down on them and they don't flex or walk around. They're also so rigid that you don't need to clamp as hard to pin things in place. I have a couple of the four inch and 6 inch versions of this clamp. Both have the same screw and general build quality.5
