    I can only conclude that I received a bad batch, or that the design is flawed I ordered 2 of these and over time both exhibited the same problem. Since I tested them separately, It took some time to realize that neither worked. Due to that, along with some health problems, the time to return them had expired. These devices are supposed to work for years. I can only conclude that I received a bad batch, or that the design is flawed.In any case, I would like to return both for a full refund. 1Increases range Put it in the "middle" of your house's electrical system (wall outlet) and your branches can be reached from another branch.Solved my problem. I put it in the laundry (nearest to the garage), and now the garage responds from my bedroom (door opener). 5Three Stars Quite frankly, cannot tell if this does anything except take up my watts. 3Conflict The repeater conflicts with the Powerline coupler/repeater b/c the Powerline sends out 2 signals for each command. Had to return. 2FINALLY! After trying this unit in a couple of outlets, I found the place where it works. This has fixed all of my X-10 problems. 5Repeater seems to be helping. I seem to be getting a better response from some of my LED lights on x10 switches. Before the repeater they'd rapidly switch on and off many times before finally turning on or off. 5Repeats repeatedly Purchased 2 units, both have been returned. They did repeat the powerline commands but would, when adjusting brightness, sometimes do it continuously till lights went to full bright or full dim. Long time X10 user here, but, beginning to wonder if the former quality will ever return? 3Quit working after a month. Stopped working after a month of operation. When it was working the unit was very warm to the touch but it definitely increased the range of my X10 controls. 1Repeats the first command over and over again forever... until unplugged. This unit should repeat the X10 command once... however it repeats the same command over and over again until it's unplugged. 1Solves X10 Communication Problems X10 is the oldest and original home control system and I m glad to see the company keeps innovating. This module solves lots of comm problems with x10 modules, power line noise and just home wiring freakishness. X10 has one big advantage over high tech controls. You can set a number of devices to the same address and have them come on and go off together with one command. That s great until noise gets involved. Some didn t come on or would not go off. This repeater solves the problem. You may need to experiment with locations to get the signal where it needs to go but it really works. The red light flashes to let you know when it receives a signal. This solved a poltergeist problem I ve fought for years and it keeps X10 relevant and a good value as a starter or basic control network. 5
