    Bright, compact, durable, and reliable This flashlight had been through a lot. I bought this because I am in Army ROTC, and, during field training, they require any flashlights to have a red lens. This is always one of the brightest ones out there, and I sometimes have to cover it with my hand because it is too bright. When I focus the light, I can see things better 50 m away than most people can at 10. In terms of durability, this has survived dew, rain, heat, cold, and has gone through a literal swamp and still works. It has lasted through a number of weekend field training events as well as 19 straight days of training where it was my only source of light at night, and only on the last day or two did it start flickering occasionally. I bought a new one recently, and now I carry it almost anywhere I go at night due to it's compactness and because it is just as bright as any white light I own, and it won't ruin my night vision if I find myself in a situation where I would need it. I don't doubt there are better red lens flashlights out there, but I would be shocked if you could find anything comparable at this price. 5AWESOME buy! This flashlight was amazing. I went on an overnight girl scout trip to the Palm Beach Zoo and we brought our red flashlights (it was a 2 pack purchase). It was so strong that the zoo keeper borrowed it to find hiding animals and the other girls kept borrowing the other one. We had a hard time keeping track of it and some refused to give it back ;)The red light was perfect. We could see the animals in their nocturnal state without disturbing them. They were definitely a big hit! I HIGHLY recommend buying them.Now my niece uses it to play with her cat! 5This thing is super bright. I did an FTX in Army ROTC ... This thing is super bright. I did an FTX in Army ROTC and as you may know, we do night land navigation. This thing will be one of the brightest and best red lights out there. I literally had to cover the light at times with my hand to dim the light. You can adjust the light from a wide cone to a narrow one. It gets a little warm if you leave it on again. I would highly recommend this lamp to all ROTC cadets. Lastly, don't be intimidated by its brightness. You want something like this! 5Well worth the money! My favorite flashlight of all time! I love this thing. I can walk around my husband while he is sleeping and it doesn t wake him up. Plus if you want to see where your dog piddled this flashlight will tell you. Beware: you might be astounded at how dirty your home is and get new flooring and paint your walls to begin with. Fantastic flashlight,well worth the money! 5Red light doesn't destroy my night vision! Great favorite with the grandkids! I mean it. Nothing like a 3 year old with a red flashlight to amuse! Oh, and very useful for adults, also. I use it when I get up at night to do anything as the red light doesn't destroy my night vision. And supposedly the dogs can't see it either so I can sneak up on them and kiss them on top of the head. 5works great, especially for the price. it works pretty well, especially for the fact that it only uses a single AA-battery. i haven't used it for long enough to know how long the battery will last, but the red LED version of this flashlight lasted months before i felt the need to replace the battery. keep in mind that i don't use it for long periods of time. i mainly use the red for when it's late at night, when i need to walk around the house, just so i can avoid turning on any overly bright lights, making it much easier for the eyes to adjust back to the darker setting. the standard silver colored flashlight's zoom function works fine. it doesn't feel too loose or too tight. the body of the flashlight is sturdy and seems like pretty tough metal. the red LED is the same way, and with how much abuse it received so far, from being thrown around and dropped as many times as it did (even on concrete and asphalt), it still seems like it works just as good as the day i got that one. i expect this one to be no different. one plus this has over the red version, is that this one doesn't have a strobe affect, while the red one would sometimes have a strobe affect that was kinda pointless in my opinion, but easy to look past, even with it's mild sensitivity to switch between "modes", (of which i don't even know if it was intentional or not.). the only thing about this flashlight i would say that i don't care for, is the seemingly pointless reticle that appears when you have it the most zoomed in/focused. it's not horrible or anything, it just seems pointless to me, but maybe there was a good reason for it. i personally would have preferred it to just be plain, or at least have fewer lines, but it's not distracting or annoying in any way. overall, its a decent flashlight. 43 months later and dead I've purchased other flashlights exactly like this from other sellers in the past and they've been really solid, but I think the quality control was lacking in this case. The button was a bit unreliable when I first put in the battery, but then it seemed to stabilize, so I thought everything was ok. Now 3 months later, I can't seem to get the flashlight to reliably turn on. I can sometimes shake it and something inside connects and it lights up, but most of the time I click and it does nothing. Probably won't buy this brand again. 2Super awesome Flashlight. This is a surprisingly bright flashlight. The brightest red light I have ever seen and it runs on AA batteries. Much cheaper to run than 123 batteries some tactical flashlight use and the flashlight itself is super affordable. Have bought several Wayllshine flashlights of this model and have not been disappointed yet. They hold up in the field, been through rain and have been reliable. And still cheap enough that you won't get mad if you lose it somewhere in the woods. Very happy with this product and have recommended to my friends. 5Powerfull Light I love the size of these flashlights, compact, powerful beam that can be focused, and easy to use. The only problem I have found with these units is durability. Don't drop them on a hard surface for they break easily. I have lost functionality of one light when I dropped it from about two feet to a concrete floor. Just be aware of this fact and you will have a great light. Even with this draw back, I will purchase more of these lights in the future. 5Acceptable product, but quirky... Its not bad for the price and works well with regular AA battery. The only "odd" thing about it is that each time you turn it on its in a different mode, so the first time you turn it on its on high-beam, the second time you turn it on its on low-beam, and annoyingly the third time you turn it on its strobe. Just be prepared when you turn it on to tap the back button to switch the mode to what you really want. Its a good enough product in that price range, so even though its not what i was looking for im still going to keep it. 3
