    Works as advertised! The hard drive in my laptop failed, fortunately I had backed up all my precious photos on my wife's laptop. We both have Toshiba Satellite's, so I ordered a new hard drive (upgraded to a 1tb sshd) and cloned her laptop and then installed the new drive I mine. It worked like a charm! I had to tweak a few settings to match my preferences, and for the most part mine is now working better then ever! 5DON'T BUY THIS DON'T BUY!!! I rarely write reviews but I have to tell all to not buy this item. I spent all day trying to clone a mechanical Hard drive to Solid state drive and it was a bust. Finally downloaded a freeware and it did a great job quickly. The software is outdated, runs poorly and requires reload/reboot of computer when it hits a point where you need to tell it to ignore data ie documents,videos etc. It was a waste of money and 6 hours of time. The overall product is a bust. 1Easy install, great value, fast delivery Couldn't get the migration software to work though. I had to download the migration software directly from Samsung. 5Cable good, software does not work with all drives. Cable works fine, but save your money and buy just a cable without the software and use the drive manufacturers software. My Samsung 850 EVO would not boot to Windows properly after using the included software. It just kept wanting to do a startup repair. Once I used the Samsung software it worked fine. I have used the software in the past with older model drives and it worked, but not on this newer drive. 3Practical and working as it should Bought this for very specific purpose of transferring wife's system from HDD to SSHDD. Software update download is required. Everything works smooth. Process is simple and depending on the suye of the disk, fairly fast.It's very practical tool to have to be used anytime anyone needs system transfer from one drive to another, while keeping everything as before. 5It Just Works Did a great job cloning my WD/1Tb HDD. I just plugged in the SSD and booted off the CD provided, it did the rest. The HDD had about 240Gb of data on it plus Windows 7, the target SSD a 480Gb Transcend. 5The CD loads, but the software cannot find any drives. VisionTek does not answer their phone or email. Their webpage download offering does not work.The CD loads, but the software cannot find any drives. This same sad result occurs on 1 desktop and 2 notebook computers. 1Perfect. Did everything I expected and easier than I thought possible. Used it on a Dell 15R Inspiron model N5010 to upgrade the stock 500gb HDD to a 256gb SDD.The cloning was absolutely flawless. I simply plugged in the new SDD to the USB, ran the program, and it cloned a perfect copy. I didn't have to mess with the settings/preference in any way whatsoever. Just clicked the button and it did everything perfect. After I installed the new SDD, the computer booted up Windows with no issues... it was as if my PC was oblivious to the fact that I changed anything at all.Great product. It was also cheaper than the other alternatives, so I have no clue why anyone would spend more on another option when this one works great. 5Almost love it. I love this product. It works straight from the disk, so you don't have to install software. It was so simple to clone my drive. You connect the destination drive, start the program, and it's going. I would have given it 5 starts, but the connection cable is really, really short. My USB ports are on the top of my desktop, so I had to hang the drive off the side while it was cloning. Other than that, it's great. 4Works great when it works, had trouble getting it recognized. Works well. For those that said they can just download the software and not buy this, the software checks for this piece of hardware. When it works, it works quite well... I set up 3 drives with this thing but I had issues with it being recognized correctly. I don't know if it was the dongle or the usb port but sometimes I'd have to try again and again before it would work. 4
