    Handles are not as ergonomic as the similar Victorinox 48792 set I have LOVED the Victorinox 48792 Cutlery 6-Piece Steak Knife Set I received several years ago as a gift. I use them daily, and wanted a larger set. I didn't realize these were a different model with less ergonomic handles. I much prefer the Victorinox 48792 set. However, the blades on both sets seem to be the same, and are amazingly sharp. Be VERY careful not to cut yourself! 4Good knives but.... They function well enough at their intended purpose but I just wish for their price they were a little more substantial. I've already had to re-straighten one blade and the handles are smallish in my hands. Very good knives at cutting, but just not perfect. I may eventually end up getting something else. 4I cant help but love the Victorinox stuff! Light but well made and sharp! These are light and well balanced, and one of the sharpest steak knives ive ever used. They aren't so light that they feel cheap -- as soon as you use them you'll fall in love. Now these aren't the nicest looking steak knives -- the plastic handles aren't showy -- but they are grippy, perfect every day steak knives that will perform like high end knives. I'm very picky about knives and these definitely exceed my expectations. 5An outstanding value for the money My Wife had asked for better/new steak knives for awhile, after looking around for a dishwasher safe yet decent quality (decent alloy stainless) I purchased these. I think you could use them to cut through a 2x4 with ease, holy-cr@p are they sharp!Con's: they aren't too big and they have a point, the handles are on the small size for my big mitts.Pros: an outstanding knife-set for the money, super-sharp, no dishwasher-wooden-handle-spotted-stainless worries. 5but don't have the heft I like in a steak knife These are OK, but don't have the heft I like in a steak knife. The handle also feels too small in the hand. They just seem rather cheap. 3Sharp but Short Handles I've changed my review. At first I was disappointed when I went to try these knives. My hands are medium sized, and these handles are small for me. If you have large hands, the handles will definitely feel short and narrow to hold. The blades have some give because they are thin, and the black plastic handles are pretty ugly. HOWEVER, now that I've had these a few months, I find I ALWAYS reach for them because they cut effortlessly. Very good for the price. 4Very good inexpensive steak knives You can't have everything in a steak knife, at least not for $10/knife, LOL. I've been very pleased with the Victorinox Swiss serrated bread slicer and decided to try these. Initial impression is 'a good buy for the price.' Very sharp, a little lightweight but for a bargain price, a good buy. 4Wonderful knives This is my second set - I just wanted to have eight knives in total. They cut through everything easily. The handle is plastic but sturdy and well weighted. These are my favorite knives in my kitchen. They're sharp enough to cut tomatoes, so I end up using them as my salad chopping knives. 5Very Good and Sharp Knife - So BEWARE THESE ARE VERY VERY SHARP. I bought these in Switzerland in 1992. Then I bought them again after 27 years on Amazon. Same awesome quality. Same SCARY SHARPNESS. Please be careful while chopping. My friend watched a TV show and cut off her index finger and landed in ER where they had to stitch her finger back ! 5Every Victorinox I have is a great knife Stays sharp and the point comes in handy some times. I have the rounded tip model as well. Both are excellent knives. 5
