Customer Reviews

A Little More Expensive, But Well Worth It. Years and years ago I bought an Irwin Utility Knife. It's been one of the more useful tools I have around the house. I use it for a variety of purposes, but mostly for cutting up cardboard, particularly cardboard boxes. San Diego has a recycling program, which I strongly approve of, and they pick up our recyclables (bottles, cans, cardboard, paper, etc.) every other week. We have a big blue plastic bin for that purpose. The problem is that the bin can fill up real quickly unless the cardboard containers are broken down and cut into smaller pieces. The Irwin utility knife is just excellent for this purpose. The only problem is that the blades wear out. I've tried various brands, but my feeling would be that the Irwin Blue Blades last the longest. They're a little more expensive than Brand X, but well worth it.Gary Peterson 5
