Customer Reviews

Super product. Wroks GREAT! I cannot say enough about this item. Sorry I am limited to only 5 stars. * * * * * Here I will give it another 5 Worked right out of the box after setting the co/cpe switches. I have been trying to run security cameras 600 ft from the dvr with poor success. I tried 'balun' connectors but got waving pictures.I put the 'co' unit behind my router and used cat5 cable that was in place, although I think it will work with almost any copper pair. 600 ft down the line I put the 'cpe' unit and connected to the dvr. Immediate success! There is so much you can do with this. You can add a bridge to extend your network or a router to create a new separate network.Wish I would have come across this last year before wasting time and money. It's a little pricey, but well worth it and cheaper than others on the market. I could go on forever, I am so pleased with this. 5 ... A few years ago, my wife and I had telephone and DSL internet service installed at our mountain cabin in Vermont. Later, we built a barn and ran a CAT5e cable 1,300 feet up the wooded mountainside between the cabin and the barn, so we could have a telephone in the barn. The phone in the barn worked well, but internet signals can't be transmitted reliably farther than about 300 feet by CAT5e cable.. Still later, I wired a cordless-telephone base station in the barn to master three cordless phones in our newly-built house, about 70 feet from the barn. But we still needed to extend our existing internet signal from the cabin to the barn, and from there to the house. A wireless bridge of two TP-Link CPE units couldn't "punch through" 1,300 feet of dense mountainside forest, and building two tall towers to get line-of sight above the trees wasn't practical for us. This kit (Tupavco Ethernet Extender Kit - 2pc Pair...) solved the problem. Using two wires in the CAT5e cabin-to-barn run that weren't used for the telephone, I connected the VDSL port of the ethernet extender in the cabin to the matching port of the extender up in the barn. Back down in the cabin, I connected the LAN port of the ethernet extender to the DSL modem/router, then went back up to the barn and connected the LAN port of the barn's extender to a TP-Link CPE210, which I had I configured as an access point. I mounted the TP-Link unit on the outside wall of the barn, aimed it at the house, and checked the house for intenet signal.. The house is now flooded with a strong and stable internet signal, without the monthly expense and problems reported by many users of satellite internet services. 2018jul27(17:36)-sls 5Great product with no set-up hassle. I have a security gate about 1/3 mile away, serviced by phone lines, so I used this to provide TCP access for two IP security cameras. It was mindlessly simple to use; I just plugged in the power and twisted pair and after a few seconds of negotiating, it made a secure connection. These are nice, small units which can fit in an outdoors utility box - I would buy them again. 5works great This item works wonderful for us. I found an old pair of wires on an old phone cable running between buildings that was not being used. Hooked up one box in the main building... second box in the other building about 1/4 of a mile away. Plugged the main box into the internet router. Plugged the second box into a repeater. We have about 60 meg internet connection at the main building and we are connecting at around 50 meg at the second. I didn't even have to reprogram anything... for this purpose it was all plug and play. thanks! 5Extending your network made super simple! I've purchased a ton of these over the past couple years. They're great for extending network between buildings that only have old phone lines. The factory dip switch settings work in most applications. Unless a line is especially corroded (like spliced without a junction box and buried) I always get around 100 Meg throughput, even at longer distances.I recently had one that went bad and their customer service was outstanding, shipped a new unit with no hassles. 5Amazing! I'm not one to write a lot of reviews but I just set these up and they work perfectly. I had about 300-325 foot run CAT5 underground pulling internet from in-laws house (I'm too far from street cable refuses to run coax up to me). I knew I was right on the edge for distance but when I first set it up it worked great. In-laws 2 days ago switched to TV, phone, internet and new modem the connection started flapping and would only connect at 10mb and speed was trash (like 56K modem days). In a panic I got these next day and poof! Back to 100mb. The jumper settings are easy if you're trying to extend long run CAT5. All jumpers on both devices in the OFF (UP) position with the exception that the receiving side the first jumper goes to the ON (DOWN / RT) position. Hopefully they are reliable but at startup these are perfect! 5Great Speed I liked not loosing speed for a 750 foot run of Cat 6. If you are doing it with RJ 45 throw away the 2 black RJ 11 cablesand connect your own short 4 pair ethernet cables. That ate up 10 minutes of head scratching. The dip switches came already set for CO Central office where your router or switch or DSL box is located and CPE Client Premise Equipment where your remote location: Barn, My Boat house, or camera is. IMPORTANT....First try to get them both to work at the CO ...make sure the port on your switch router DSL or whatever is your service equipment LIGHTS UP . Test it with the CPE hooked up to your ethernet port on a computer; I had to haul out and old Dell laptop cuz many of todays laptops don't have ethernet ports. Anyway I hope I saved you some time. Cheers Charlie 5Works great when you can't or don't want to run CAT5e Works excellent to extend Ethernet when only a single pair (phone line or CAT3) is available. This unit is the same make/model as other ones with a different "manufacture" name on it, but looks and works identical. Except sometimes this one is in stock on Amazon and the other one isn't. Remember to change the DIP switches so that one unit is CO (or Central Office) that's the switch/firewall/main network end - and the other is RT or CPE (that's Remote Terminal or Customer Premise Equipment) that's the device end (like your wireless AP, or an IP phone, or another switch, whatever) 5Great way to extend Ethernet connectivity over long distances! This is the third pair of these I have purchased. One pair provides 100mb Ethernet on a cat5e cable in a 660 ft. wiring run. The other 2 pairs provide Ethernet connectivity to two out buildings fed by unused telco drops (200 ft. and 500 ft.) Easy set-up (make sure one unit is set for CO, and the far end unit as RT) and usage. These devices have already proved their worth to my clients.Additional info:2 weeks ago, one of the unit pairs wouldn't link. Using another pair of these to troubleshoot, it was determined that one unit had failed. I contacted Tupvaco, conversed with Duca, and was sent a single unit replacement. Set switches, connected to the facilities, and the client was up and working. No hassle service. I highly recommend Tupavco and their equipment 5Made my life easier I have been working on a project to bring video security images to a central location. Telephone lines were in place but this system was more costly then using powerline devices so I went with the powerline, that did work as it appears you need a pretty clean system to get from point a to b. Purchased the Tupavco system and running it over telephone cables I'm up and running with a clean image on multiple cameras (Three splices in the phone cable between the two Tupavco devices). Happy with the results as my preference was hardwire compared to WiFi and the cost for burying cable made it not an option. By the way I did use the PLC device to run about 100' from the distance Tupavco and a camera. 5
