    Perfect size and excellent made If you are fastening to a wall, this is super. I drilled holes in the tabs that stick out so I could securely mount to my wall. Yes, you can use the rear slots...but I when I mount this to the wall of my tradeshow booth, I want it SECURE, and there were "dimples" on the tabs sticking out saying "drill here" making it easy. The cover over the on/off switch is a nice touch too! All in all, the best Power strip I every ordered (and I have over 20 in my office). I ordered both the 6 and 3 stripe and they are both equal in every way except the lenght (due to number of sockets). 5Very solid and easy to mount I have purchased 3 of these now for my shop. I love these. The wings at both ends allow you to easily screw them to work benches, table tops etc. I have never had good luck with fastening other strips that have the slots on the back side. They never seem to be really sturdy. These solve that problem.Note that both wing ends have dimpled areas that you have to drill out but very easy to do. 5Dead After Less Than A Year I bought this to use with my table saw and vacuum. Several times over eight months when the saw would overheat due to excessive use the 15amp house breaker would trip. Not one time did the breaker on this outlet trip. The last time the saw lost power it was the outlet switch that died......~$30 down the drain. 1Nice strip with dedicated 15a circuit breaker Nice strip with dedicated 15a circuit breaker. I actually tested the breaker and it worked / tripped (but it took north of 20 amps to "pop-it".... this is well within the norm... and since you don't want it needlessly tripping for momentary spikes... it's about perfect.I'm thinking it'd still trip at, say 16-18 amps, but it would need to be a constant load (current) over time to generate the heat required to trip the breaker; but that is what it's for to begin with, i.e., protect the wires (from heat build-up).Pay careful attention to the alignment of the plug receptacles... look at the picture and make sure it works for you... the plugs sockets are in-line 90 degrees from what you may be expecting.The cord is heavy enough for most apps. Overall, good powerstrip. 5Works great, durable housing, easy to mount with 3M Command Strips I'm using a 6-outlet and a 3-outlet unit for a reef aquarium set-up and they are working out great. Got them mounted inside the cabinet with 3M Command Strips and they're staying put. Also, they're plugged into a GFCI outlet. The on/off switch is protected by a little plastic cover which I like so that it doesn't get accidentally switched off. 5Great for a garage Was looking for a "commercial" grade outlet extension for my garage to extend the only, weirdly located outlet in the entire garage. This caught my eye with a steel case and the right longish length. I'm currently using it to plug in all the lawn equipment chargers for my new Ego electric lawn mowers and all my new Ryobi power tools. The main issue that I have is all the outlets are packed so close together. In an age in which power strips are spacing plugs out for all manner of types of plugs, this really compact layout of plugs may be an issue in the future. 4Well worth it If you are attaching the strip to a wall this is the one you need. The others have holes in the back and you must slide the case onto the screws. Very weak and unstable. This has the holes on the end. Actually they are only indentations and you must drill your own holes. If you don't have the tools for this, just buy the cheap one. You don't need this quality. Also it is much sturdier, made of metal, not plastic. Looks like it will last a long time. Well worth the slight extra cost. 5Good Firewall Emergency Reboot Button I'm a network admin for a church. Every so often, the firewall locks up and prevents new users from joining the wifi. The easiest fix I've found is to reboot the firewall. I purchased this and mounted it in an easy to reach location. That way, church staff can flip the switch to reboot the firewall themselves (without having to wait for me). I really like the fact that the switch has a plastic protective cap on it too.Overall, I'm very impressed. This power strip feels very heavy duty. The metal ears can be drilled with holes (the holes are *not* pre-drilled). However, the back is *very* flat so I was easily able to mount this to the network rack. I use Scotch 3M Super Heavy Duty Exterior Mounting Tape.From what I've read on other reviews, this is *not* a surge supressor. Not a deal killer for me since I have it plugged into a UPS, but probably good information to know before buying. 5Nice, with two minor complaints I mounted this multi-outlet to the front of my workbench as a convenient place to plug tools in. I like the metal box; it is sturdy and durable. The tabs are convenient for mounting, but must be drilled first for screws. The power cord is heavy gauge and the perfect length to reach my wall outlet behind the bench.Edit: I found the plugs on some of my tools are fat and obstruct adjacent outlets. I wish the box had a little more space between the outlets. 5Well built, made of actual metal. These, and the other metal power strips made by Tripp-Lite/SLWaber are the only ones I buy. First, the enclosure is made of metal, which, unlike plastic, does not burn when heated by an electrical overload. The cord and plug furnished with the power strip is robust, heavy, and the plug features nice solid prongs for a secure fit into the wall receptacle. The cord is also nice and long. The outlets on the power strip are individual snap-in receptacles, rather than a chintzy brass strip running the length of the cheaper power strips.Put simply, these types of power strips are all I buy. Most plastic power strips are a fire waiting to happen as far as I'm concerned. These are about as solid and safe as you can get. They may be a premium cost, but they are a premium power strip. 5
