    This antenna is a good investment!6/16/19- As a professional truck driver for 23 years I have had MANY radios and antennas. I bought this for my pickup truck. It receives and transmits as well as any that I have ever used. But here is what I really like about it, it looks GOOD! It is designed well, the magnet is incredible and it stands out like a sore thumb! It looks DAMN nice on my F-150, big, beefy and tall. I have driven at a high rate of speed and the antenna barely lays. I have hit tree limbs and it sounded like someone was shooting a gun at me it was so loud. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ANTENNA. So glad that I bought it!5A Great Antenna!I was really impressed with this antenna! So far it is great in its operation, both transmit and receive, and that big magnet keeps it securely in place. I would say it is a bargain, and if I needed one I would buy it again!5Nearly perfect swr out of boxNearly perfect swr out of box. On a stock uniden 980 on AM, spoke to a fella 15 miles away in atlanta area where terrain is fairly wooded and hilly. He said I was loud and lear witj no static. That's amazing! No other antenna I have tested comes close to similar performance.5Low swr and great rangeWas able to talk with my friend 8 miles away on my Uniden 880 to his Texas Ranger 102" whip and 2 pill amp. If you're looking for DX or extreme distance, its's not for you.4Was recommended by a real professional cb tech.I was a little skeptical at first of buying the Tram 3500, but soon overcome those fears once connected to my Cobra 29 Ltd! The shielded cabling made no interference with my radio, was real simple to tune the antenna with included tool. WARNING: Be careful not to lose the tiny lug that holds the antenna in, it was freely wandering in the package . Only complaint I have (personal) I love to tuck wires professionally and run through the floorboard of my truck, and by the time it made it to the top of my crew cab Silverado, I couldn't put directly in the middle center. I wished it could be 2' longer! Now if you're running it out your door, you will have plenty!As for getting out there, it did pretty good, I was able to talk clearly around 22 miles from me. And I talked skip also without a problem. Worth the price. Shipping could be a little better though, I wasn't happy with the bag taped over the bottom .5I got more than I was expecting.I needed to get a temporary use antenna for a friend. Purchased this over a "lil". I'm glad I did.Great antenna. Impressive performance. Priced far below similar antennas.I would not hesitate to purchase again.5im impressed!Bought this antenna to compare to a Wilson 1000 mag mount. And I am impressed! The Tram 3500 out of the package,simple assembly. swr was 1.1 on 27.205 -cb channel 20- (I am using a MFJ-259b antenna analyzer). Where with the Wilson you have to trim the whip... tune...trim...tune etc. Also the Tram 3500 has a small pin hole on the antenna shaft where the whip inserts. This is to prevent moisture building up in the coil. The Wilson 1000/5000 doesn't have that option and are known to hold rain water in the base coil assembly. The 5 inch diameter magnet on the Tram 3500 is strong...mounted on the roof of my f-350 at highway speeds of 70mph plus. It stayed put also out on the trail/in the woods for you 4x4 enthusiasts/hunters that use cb. There is a rubber cover (keep from scratching your paint on vehicle) over the magnet when you first open the package. I would recommend removing it if you don't plan on using the antenna on multiple vehicles. Transmit on a (stock Galaxy Dx-959) was 2 S-units more to a base unit 3 towns away than the Wilson 1000... the receive from the base unit 3 towns away was 1 S-unit more than the Wilson. I would highly recommend this antenna over a Wilson in my honest opinion. But if a customer wants to pay 40-45$ more for a popular name like Wilson... more power to them. But for 37$ includes shipping you can't beat this antenna. I highly recommend the Tram 3500! 5 stars and I will purchase more in the future again and again.5Great all around antennaWith the whip all the way down in the base the SWR was pretty high at first. After pulling it up some I was able to match it up on channel 1 and 40 at about 1.4:1 with it being lower in the middle (about 1.2:1 or lower) around channel 20. Was able to talk with no problem after tuning it.Having my ham ticket, I don't see this having any issues on 10 meter either. Also, with the high wattage rating this can handle a 10 meter radio no problem as well.Great all sums it up nicely. Would definitely buy another if needed.5
