    Five StarsThis hard drive sounds like a jack hammer but I don't mind. 5Good big driveA good price for a big drive. So far, so good 5... if there is a lot happening it's significant - like processing my photos filesThese things are a bit noisy when writing in particular "clickety" - if there is a lot happening it's significant - like processing my photos files, when Idling, it's quiet. I'm ok with the tradeoff for hopefully enterprise durability and price. I plan to move these to a less direct sound impacting location - should be fine. 4Disappointing performance, fail too soon and very noise. Seems to me I was sold used drives.I bought five of these drives and in less than 4 months one of them just failed. These are suppose to be data center high grade drives. Also, they are extremely noise. I have the five of them install in a Drobo array and the noise they produce all of them together is annoying. they were suppose to be silent drives. I really wonder if the seller ship me new or used drives.I would be better off buying the standard drives, which I had used in the past. They lasted for years and are quite. For the price I pay for these drives I should have gotten top of the line. Very disappointed. 1Wow, Too Noisy for my NAS box!I thought the other reviews of these being noisy was an exaggeration. No, they are really loud. They make a crunching sound. I have had drives like these in the past but they were really old drives. Most new drives don't make that sound. They are definitely not suitable for a NAS box sitting in a living room. These would be better suited for a data center NAS. Good drives though, nothing wrong with their performance. Had to send them back due to their noise. I guess I will have to spring for the WD Red Pro drives if I want quiet, cool, and high performance. 4Four StarsUsing it to replace a boot Drive boots faster than my old one Windows 10 4Was sold a 3 year old drive as NewGot this drive and it appeared operational at first. But less than 48 hours after installing - got a SMART error that predicted drive failure.Ran utilities on the drive and found two things. 12k+ sectors had already been relocated to spare - and there was over 1007 days of runtime. Pulled the drive and found that it was manufactured in January 2015...While the drive appeared to be new in the bag - obviously it was either refurbished or repackaged and was not new.Be careful if buying from AnyHDD... 1Five Starson time and as expected! 5Nice product.All 7 drives arrived in new and unused condition in original packaging. I set up the RAID array without a problem. Nice product. 5Great storage driveIt's a hard drive, but I haven't had any issues with it since I've started using it. When scanning, it could be faster, but for the cost, this is a great deal. 4
