Perfect replacement Bought these to replace my old plastic Nora ones that were discoloring. So glad I purchased these metal white ones. What a difference it makes matching the white ceiling and they won't discolor like plastic. They also sit flatter to the ceiling for a nice clean look and take a second to install. 5Its pretty industrial looking -- which is great in the right ... I wanted a new trim that would help reflect more light. My original trim was black inside and absorbed, what I now see, is about half the light! This silver trim does the trick well. However, the flange that you see on the ceiling is too thick. Its pretty industrial looking -- which is great in the right setting -- but is not ideal in my living room. Well made. 4There beautiful. They are beautiful. My kitchen appliances are brushed nickel and I didn't think that the recessed cans would make a difference, but I was wrong they make a huge difference. I highly recommend them. 5Nice quality item for a good price I recently remodeled my kitchen with stainless steel appliances and brushed nickle fittings. I saw these trims and got them for the recessed lighting. Reasonably priced compared to others that I looked at, and beautiful, they really make the lights in the kitchen pop. So much nicer than the almond colored ring. I just wish I could get them in polished brass for the bathroom. A good product for a good price. I bought 2 individually, and also a set of 6. 5They look FANTASTC! Looks like I upgraded my kitchen and all 6 for just $35!!! I am so happy that purchased these 4" trims for my recessed lights. I had white trims in my kitchen and over time they had turned yellowish. Since all my appliances in the kitchen are stainless steel, I thought I would add these trims to match. They look FANTASTC! Perfect fit and HUGE cost savings! Fit Perfectly for my Halo 4 New Construction IC rated recessed can lights from big box store. I was skeptical but boy what a surprise! These fit perfectly and although slightly shorter than the Halo baffles these actually taper in more to make up for it so it still has a nice finished look while allowing a standard LED bulb (PAR 20) a great fit. As a matter of fact these are actually a bit better because they are metal and have a foam ring to seal against the drywall, Hal9 brand does not. Also, the Halo version at the big L blue box store is plastic and with no foam seal, AND COST $16 EACH!!! THATS ROBBERY! The orange big box store charges $12 each for theirs. I am buying more of these to finish my whole house remodel. EXTREMELY pleased with the quality and price of these baffles from Torchstar. BRAVO!! 5Look great in my Halo 4 inch housing! I installed these in my H99 4 in. Aluminum Recessed Lighting Housing for New Construction Ceiling Model # H99ICAT. I m usually the type of person to just buy the OEM (in this case Halo brand) part. But my word those are so expensive! So much that I decided it would be worth giving these a shot and only ordered one box of 6.These look great! I did have some trouble getting them flush against the ceiling at first (by barely 1/16 of an inch, I m a perfectionist), but discovered that bending the metal clips inward a tad made them sit flush when installed. A bit of extra hassle that is totally worth the cost savings. I ll be ordering more. 5Love the cans Love the cans, not completely sold on the retaining mechanism and the play between the reflector and the rim. The worst part is they did not make the spacing on the retainers fall easily between the retaining clips on the can. A solution would be to have four not three. I like the wire retainers on the Halo system better. I would buy them again because I like the cans so much. 3Works well - inexpensive replacement I bought these for my outdoor soffit lights as the original ($$$$) ones made from metal and plastic rusted so the paint was all flaking off.I have had these outside for about a month and see no signs of rust. The color is bright white and they look much better than the old ones.I admit I am not crazy about the holes in them (used for lights which hold the trim on a spring) or that they are shorter than the replacements (happy it is not an issue with my LED bulbs) but I knew both going in.The manufacture said it was made of steel (not aluminum) but they would provide a warranty (1 year?) against rust as long as not installed by the ocean.If these last me a few years I'll be happy as they are so inexpensive. Time will tell but very happy now. 5Nothing like name brand These are about 3/8 to 1/2" shorter than the name brand. This results in a huge gap between the light and the trim piece. It looks horrid. It also has a hole for a spring clip that doesn't need to be there. It also sticks out a lot since the piece is much shorter than the name brand. It's made out of stamped tin, which is strong, but would rust outside. I'll be throwing these away. The whole idea of a trim piece is to make the light look good and these have the opposite effect. It cost me money I could have used on the name brand, but I've been unable to find them in my area. Home Depot used to have them, but not longer (in my area). I can't recommend these, mainly off of the looks and the fact that they are a lot shorter than what is made for most 4" cans with proper bulbs in them. They might work for you, depending on the bulb you install. But buyer be ware, these are short. 2
