Customer Reviews

Think Tank V2.0 Double Sided Camera StrapBought this to have a more narrow comfortable but strong strap for a Nikon D300 with prime to long zoom lens as needed. I also wanted to use the strap with my backpack so also bought the Think Tank Camera Support Strap V2.0.Alone the strap is excellent, distributes weight well despite it's narrowness and the double sided rubberization works great to prevent slippage from the shoulder.High quality heavy weight hardware is great. One thing, when pulling your camera high (short strap) there is a LOT of webbing hanging free that you have to do something with. I don't want to cut it off in case I wish to lengthen the strap. So it's just kind go wound around which gets in the way.4Think Tank V2.0 Camera Strap: Comfortable enough to wear all dayMost straps that come with cameras are woefully inadequate for the job. They often are more form than function, where the user is doing brand advertising for the manufacturer, while the stylish strap slips off of the shoulder. Then there are the others that are just plain uncomfortable.I bought this Think Tank V2.0-1" Double-Sided Non-Slip Camera Strap in grey after spending the first warm spring day out shooting. I had my new Fujifilm X20 around my neck, with its OEM strap carefully adjusted to a comfortable shooting position for street photos. After a few hours I noticed that its non-slip pad was beginning to chafe on my neck, and by the end of the day, the camera was spending more time in my bag than around my neck.Previous experience with Think Tag bags made me check, as I've already found the quality build into them to be top notch. Whether that same attention to ergonomics that I had found in their photo gear remained to be seen, but after looking at some of the others available, it was worth a shot.Putting it simply, this strap turned out to be excellent. It's about an inch wide, primarily black with a subtle grey edge trim. There are non-slip silicone patterns on both sides of the strap, which make it good when one wants to grab the camera out of the bag when busy shooting, and have to check which side it up. There are real leather accents (with very subdued logos) that are secured to metal rings, allowing for attachment to other Think Tank bags or backpacks, and this relatively light strap can be easily compressed when in a camera bag.But even better, this strap is comfortable enough to 'wear' for 8-10 hours on the street, and that's including while carrying a loaded Think Tank CityWalker 20 bag over one shoulder. And it may not be a big thing to many, but this strap does't have -inch high white logos advertising the strap as if a product placement. The [ASIN:B004L5W6R0 Think Tank V2.0-1" Double-Sided Non-Slip Camera Strap]] has turned out to be excellent in use. It may not be a good choice for a fully-loaded Nikon or Canon with a battery pack and a long lens, but for a standard DSLR or pro/advanced digital compact, it's hard to beat. I will be back for the has turned out to be excellent in use. It may not be a good choice for a fully-loaded Nikon or Canon with a battery pack and a long lens, but for a standard DSLR or pro/advanced digital compact, it's hard to beat. I will be back for the blue version for one of the other cameras, as this is a simple 5-star strap that works. Kudos to the designers, as this one is comfortable enough to 'wear' all day.4/23/20135This strap is up to the usual Think Tank quality ... This strap is up to the usual Think Tank quality I've come to expect. Strong, non-slip strap made from quality materials. Works well with theThink Tank Photo Camera Support Straps and their backpack. 5Great Strap / Not bulky / Very comfortableGreat strap for the proce, small and light, very comfortable, even with a heavy body / glass on the end. The gorilla glue / woven sticky portion keeps it from sliding around and rubbing your neck raw. I was worried when I opened it, based on the size that it would not carry a heavy rig, but it's, in fact, very strong, making this the best strap I have owned thus far.5Nice, compact, strap upgradeSmall, lightweight camera strap. Much smaller and less obvious than the oem strap that came with my camera. Purchased before an international trip trying to save size and weight for my camera setup, and it worked great. Non-slip area stayed on my shoulder, and the strap folded up easily and doesn't take up much space when stuffed in a crowded camera bag.I also found it very comfortable to wear, which i was worried about as it's narrow even in the cushioned/non-slip area. I have generally had a jacket or at least heavier shirt on while wearing it, but I've worn a DSLR for hours at a time with this strap and never felt any discomfort. Major upgrade over the oem strap in every way.5Another quality Think Tank product Think Tank, since its inception, has not produced any product that is not of the highest quality, and backed by a group of the most friendly and professional people in the photography business. As far as I am concerned, there are no other products that offer this level of quality and customer service. I am their customer for life because of the attributes written here and with the knowledge that any product they design and produce, will last the test of time, especially traveling and being on the road more than half the year, in and out of planes and airports, trains, buses, subways, boats, el's, you name it, their products have been there with me...and not one sign of wear, no matter how hard you look, they are simply not there...!!! 5good basic strap This is a good strap, but pretty basic. I have wider neoprene straps on my other cameras and I think I like them better. Because it is double sided it wont tend to slip off your shoulder. 4/15/17. After using this strap for a while, I have come to really like it. I'm a big guy and it slings around me really well. Maybe its my build, but I have never felt secure slinging it over shoulder. I always sling over the neck with arm through. That way I can quickly move it from front to back. I really like the strap for my mirrorless rigs. 5Love these little strapsLove these little straps, I changed them out from using a Tamrac leather strap just for something different to use with my wedding camera (5D3). Small unobtrusive design gets out of the way so that I can just shoot. I like the double grip siding on the strap so that it can stay on my shoulder, and the small overall design when I take it off and wrap it around my hand.5Simple, rugged strapI'm a big fan of Think Tank products in general - I own several of their bags and backpacks and recommend them all. So when my favorite camera strap broke, I figured I'd give theirs a try.Unlike most other brands, the Think Tank is sort of minimalist. No padding, and only an inch thick of a somewhat cushioned material that's coated with rubber non-slip material on both front and back. After using brands like Crumpler - a heavy, padded strap - I was worried the Think Tank might be a little uncomfortable with my heavy DSLR and a big lens. I attached it to my Nikon D3s with a heavy pro zoom, and I was actually impressed...pretty much no difference versus the Crumpler, even with a big, heavy camera and lens, and the Think Tank stays put on my shoulder much better.Construction quality is very good, as I've come to expect from Think Tank. An added advantage is that the Think Tank is very flexible and folds really small, making for a better fit when traveling. Only gripe is that I use a Nikon GP-1 (GPS unit) that I like to clamp to my camera strap, and I haven't found a convenient spot to do this on the Think Tank strap. Otherwise, I think it's a great choice while being rugged, reasonably priced and built to last a long time.4Perfect for mirrorless camerasFor a full-sized dSLR camera with a large lens attached, I do prefer a wider, padded strap. But this strap is perfect for a mirrorless camera. It has the rubber gripper part on both sides of the strap so it stays put on you shoulder even when the strap gets twisted around (something most strap makers never consider.) It s strong but lightweight, and bunches up nice and small when in the camera bag. And I love that it is black with a choice of gray or blue trim, which is subtle, but is nice when you have two simular camera bodies and can quaickly distinguish between the two of them.5The best all around strapLightweight but solid. The gripping on them stays in place on my shirt even during intense activity. I found the thinner size actually better than I was expecting and I bought two more and have them on all my cameras with right stuff locks. I m an event shooter who travels putting a lot of pressure on my gear and accessories. It s either perfect or it won t work, and these work. The solid rings are a plus. My only gripe is the smaller plastic strap keepers slide around too freely, but that s really minor and doesn t change my 5-star opinion of it. A lot of straps out there are great for hobbyists but this is a great low cost pro level (maybe not extreme level) strap.5Nice, no frills strapThese ubiquitous straps are great to keep in your bag, possibly as a backup. They're small, lightweight and the grip is nice. However for long periods of time...you might want to find a more comfortable alternative. The price is right, though.4Nice strapI think this is a great strap. It is much better than the standard strap that came with my Sony A6000. I am giving it 4 stars because I recently discovered the Joby ultrafit slingstrap which is awesome and completely changed my view of camera strap technology. If you are not ready to try the ultrafit, this one is a nice strap4
