Customer Reviews

Does the jobI use this to carry around 6 light stands, 4 regular and 2 boom style (bulkier with the built in swivel attachment), and two Cowboy Studio boom attachments (also bulky with the large light stand attachment). It's rugged and holds together well with all that weight. My one complaint would be there are no dividers, so the stands do come in contact with each other. It doesn't affect how they work, but they will rub against each other and scratch. If you are the kind of person who runs down to the body shop if someone dings your car you probably won't like this bag, but if you believe that a car is just something to get you from point A to point B then you also probably think a light stand is just something to hold your umbrella and light with and a few scratches add character (not to mention some street cred) and you won't mind the design of the bag at all. 4Excellent construction, excellent valueI have a couple of Cheetah Stands large stands. They fit easily into this bag. The bag is bigger than I expected, which is good and bad. Good in that the stands are longer than many and this bag holds their length easily. Bad in that it was hard to judge what diameter I needed without having the bag and putting them in. There's LOTS of extra room. 4I needed thisI was looking for something this long that wasn't padded. It's well made. I have my tripod in its padded bag, a westcott 6X6 frame, a pop up beauty dish, some clamps and a mini boom in here. Great for stands. Heavy when full, but I usually have a cart. 5Hits the right price point and qualityA few important things make this bag outstanding.First the internal dimensions are spot on, fits a 53" white seamless backdrop very easily. It also fits two 13' background stands with a bit more room as well. The construction is extremely high quality with ykk zippers and what seems to be a seat-belt style material for the handles. The two handles are nice and large allowing you to wear it across your shoulders if you are an average sized person. If you are larger however, it will not be comfortable to wear this across your shoulders. For the price, size, and construction this bag hits it perfectly for what I'm looking for. Not cheap, but also not a hard case costing me hundreds. 5Roomy, lightweight, very tough, apparently good build qualityI bought two bags, unable to decide which one might serve me better. I'm reviewing both here, to save you the trouble of digging around if you want to see both my reviews.I got this one (Tenba)http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009UT9N/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_35and a Hakuba bag(http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00006I5BG/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_39).Both cost about $70. Both have excellent build quality, but the two bags are very different. The Tenba bag is longer, good for my light stands, and has slightly higher girth/capacity. It is very simply made with a single layer of fabric (appears very tough), and a tough zipper. It is very light weight and can fold down to a very compact size with nothing in it. There is an internal pocket. There is no padding anywhere. It appears you could carry this as a backpack, though I've not attempted that. My hunch is I'll be using this more often. The Hakuba bag is a little shorter with less capacity. It is made of similar, very tough material, tough zippers, but has significant padding all around, with an internal and external pocket. This bag would be better for your fancy carbon fiber tripod and maybe umbrellas - things that are more fragile. For me, this bag seems slightly less useful than the Tenba, but I'm keeping both anyway.I'll probably add to this review as I get more experience with the bags 5I could fit like 3-5 cstands in this at once and STILL have ...THIS BAG IS HUGEEEEEEE. I could fit like 3-5 cstands in this at once and STILL have room for more! It's extremely long (you can stack two cstands on top of each other and still have room to spare) but extremely well made. It's heavy duty and have a nicely stitched grips. Granted it has no padding, but once evertyhin gis loaded in and you have it at full capacity, nothing will get damaged because of high tight it holds everything together. Def a worthile buy to store my cstands and lighting stands in. 5A competent bagPurchased for holding and transporting portable light stands, umbrellas, etc., the bag thus far appears to be a winner. It holds readily four stands, an assortment of umbrellas and other miscellaneous stuff, it's a winner for hauling stuff around. It appears to be well-constructed, but I would't mind a bit more padding (and I'd pay a bit more for it). 4Big ol bagI love this bag! I purchased the 70 to put some long c-stands and light stands in (i could not find a hard case that could fit my cstands). I have been using this bag for about half a year and there is no sign of it falling apart yet! 5A great bag for the essentialsI've been looking for a bag to carry 2 10 foot stands, a couple of small umbrellas, and a small tripod. When I receive this I thought it was going to be too large, but as it turned out it's just about right. This one has a round disc to form a flat surface the other end pinches together as you close the zipper. Was not a big fan of that concept at the beginning but as it turns out if you do carry most of the weight at the bottom this bag will stand on that flat disc vertically. It has two large straps that will allow this to act as a backpack. It is not padded so one has to take a bit of care throwing it around the car or job site but it's a good value for the dollar.UPDATE: It's now Dec 1 the bag has been very useful but has developed a 1" slice in the body of the bag. Don't know how it got there but it hasn't had hazardious treatment. 5Gets The Job DoneThis is a very basic light stand bag, no frills but definitely very well-made. There isn't any padding to speak of though the interior seems to have a light coating of something.I'm currently using two 13' Manfrotto stands and they fit with room to spare - I could actually probably get two more in there comfortably. If there was anything I disliked about this bag it would be the 'disc' that sits in the bottom. It's meant to keep the shape of the bottom of the bag round and also keep your stands from poking through the bottom, but the problem is that it's loose - it doesn't stay where it's supposed to so I'm always re-adjusting it.If you want a simple bag to carry your stands this will work. If you want something with more structure or padding maybe get one of Tenba's more expensive bags. 4
