    found it here at a great price, delivered promptly replacing a bulb in a bathroom light fixture, needed the exact match for the others, found it here at a great price, delivered promptly. 5This globe is not a suitable replacement for the TCP 1G2511IB We have been using 8 TCP 1G2511IB globes in our bathrooms for many years and were sad to see they have been discontinued. The TCP 1G2511IB emits a true 2700K warm light instantly, like the power hungry incandescent lamps they replaced. Zero perceptible warm up time. The 1G2511IB globes are coated well on the inside so that you can see nothing to indicate there is a standard spiral CFL inside it whether it is on or off.We have no spares left, so we need to find replacements for any of the 8 that may fail, so we ordered this TCP 1G2509-27 because it's description is closest to the discontinued TCP 1G2511IB.This 1G2509-27 disappointed from the moment I opened the package. The globe has a thin interior coating so the spiral CFL inside is seen even with the lamp off. There was even more disappointment when it was installed in the fixture among 3 1G2511IB lamps. Instead of the warm light produced evenly from all of the globe, this lamp produced a cold stark white light from a clearly visible spiral lamp inside the globe. It was not instant on or fast start or quick start or whatever other description you rarely ever see anymore from any manufacturer.What is going on with CFL manufacturing? We have CFLs used every day that are more than 10 years old. Now most of what what I see looks like cheap poorly manufactured junk. I read reviews from others complaining about CFLs failing within a year. That is absurd. We have had the technology for about twenty years and outside of a few fly by night brands, CFLs have been no brainer replacements for incandescent bulbs due to high quality light, power savings and much longer life.Does anyone still manufacture a high quality 40 watt equivalent G25 globe CFL that will not just print on the label but actually produce a 2700K warm white light, will use sufficient inside coating on the globe to conceal the spiral lamp inside, and guarantees to produce at least almost full brightness instantly on a cold start? 1Five Stars Delivered as described and works great 5Great Buy!!! Glad I ordered off line! Works well and I'm satisfied with my purchase. 5Hard to Find Bulb that Performs Well Hard to find quality bulb at a very good price. It's been in service for several months with no issues. Our electric utility company used to give these bulbs away. They no longer do. It's great to still have them available. The frosted glass makes it easy on the eyes. 4
