    Like others, I got this for my DP-008ex Works with my Tascam DP-008ex. The unit powers on and recognized the external power source over the batteries. The only thing with this being off-brand is the adaptor tip is longer than the Tascam requires... so it sticks out a little... My only concern with it not being snug is if it gets snags on someone moving close by... Will it break the internal components off the board? Just keep I stable and the cords out of the way, things should be fine 4Works for TASCAM DP-008EX I use this on the TASCAM DP-008EX, it works as described. I tried using a different universal power supply, I set the correct polarity, voltage, and proper tip, but smoke started coming out of the unit. Not sure what I did wrong, luckily nothing broke, so I will stick to using this power supply instead. 5Does not work with Tascam DP-008 orDP-008EX This does NOT work with the Tascam DP-008 (or the DP-008EX) - it's the wrong size. I'm including a photo of the Tascam power supply, and this one. 1Other similar AC adapters I had didn't work. This one does! I bought this for my Tascam DP-006 multitrack recorder. I had other AC adapters lying around that had the same specs and what appears to be the same tip (visibly speaking) but they did not work. I was completely baffled, so I really didn't expect this to work...but it does!!!! I still don't know why the others don't work on this recorder. I'm very happy this one works great. 5this is been one of my best purchases for my sound and video equipment If you don't already own a ac adapter for your tascam, this is been one of my best purchases for my sound and video equipment. It's a necessity if you're wanting to record for long periods, especially if you're using phantom power to other microphones. 5This is the correct power supply for the Tascam DP-008EX This will save you a lot of money on batteries. This is the power supply i use for my Tascam DP-008EX multi track recorder. Much better than having to deal with batteries all the time. So if you have one of these recording units, you NEED this power supply if you do not like dealing with batteries. 5Good cord, doesn't need the blue LED though Cord does exactly what it is supposed to do. It has an LED that burns constantly when plugged in. For some reason, this bugs me, as I feel it's using power constantly, regardless of whether I'm using the unit. For this reason I plug it in only when I need to use it. Others may love the light show, so cool. Regardless, good cable. 4avoid. This thing is disturbing. It plugged in okay for me and powered up, however there is a very noticeable high pitched humming sound coming from it. I've never had this with ANY power adapter EVER . Mix that with the creepy blue led light - which once again is a rarity for a simple adapter, and I wonder what else kind of weird electronics they've tossed in this thing. 1... my Tascam DP-008 for home recording and it works like it should I keep this connected to my Tascam DP-008 for home recording and it works like it should. I was going through a lot of batteries before I got this. I found out it also works with my old Tascam MP-GT1 guitar trainer. I used to use the USB connection to charge that unit, but I think using the DC port charges faster. 5Recommended by me: T-Power AC power adapter for Tascom Guitar Trainer CD-GT2 I purchased the Tascom Guitar Trainer CD-GT2. Prior to my purchase of the Guitar Trainer, a friend who has the same item recommended an AC adapter.The adapter I selected was the 'T-Power' which works perfectly. Plugs right in and 6 foot cable is plenty for me.Shipping of the T-Power was good as well -- the AC adapter arrived before the Guitar Trainer. 5
