    I really like surefire. I use this light daily for work ... I really like surefire. I use this light daily for work with theSurefire (V70) Rugged Polymer Speed Holster, Black. It leads with the bright light which I wanted. The only downside to this light if you are in a dark area and only want to light up areas quickly on /off type use it will be bright than the next time low....that is what it is supposed todo but I have found that not good in a few circumstances. If that could be a problem for a buyer pick a light with one output. 5WOW!!! This flashlight is BRIGHT! The first click of the tail cap gives a blinding 400 lumens of light to temporarily blind an attacker or an unwanted aggressor. Then second click gives low level 15 lumens for a comfortable light output for work in the dark. Buy the SureFire V70 Black Polymer Speed Holster to go with it like I did so you can have it secured and ready for quick deployment. The V 70 allows you to insert the flashlight in either direction, tail cap up or tail cap down. Tail cap up exposes the entire grip of flashlight so you can reach, grab and pull out lightning fast. Tail cap down exposes just the head of the light. Both positions secure your light very well. Holster comes with a 3 belt loop with an adapter to install to shorten loop size down the thickness of piece of para cord. I will be buying more of these for everyone in my family. 5Sturdy and reliable but... Almost perfect flashlight, tough and easy to use. Very well made. The one drawback - parasitic drain. You WILL be buying lots of expensive CR123s, as it will effectively drain batteries from new to dead in about three months regardless of use. The "anti-roll" edges work sometimes, but other times you'll be chasing after it when you set it down. It's a good tool, but could use improvement. 4I use this flashlight on my bicycle as a riding ... I use this flashlight on my bicycle as a riding light. I can see the glow of the light on the various street traffic signs as I ride home at night in the city. The signs up to 1.5 blocks show the glow of the light which is impressive to me. I also take it out to my farm sometimes and use it to look for varmints that might be lurking around trying to steal a chicken or a pig. The light shows off the glow of the deer eyes and they are usually about 400 feet away. It can be kind of eerie looking at those glowing eyes. 4Surefire had me worried, but really pulled through. Let me start by saying that this review started harsh because I own so many Surefire flashlights and always received quality. I bought this because the Surefire G2X Pro is my absolute favorite. I choose it for work over my E2D Defender because it's brighter. But I really wished my G2X Pro would come on High mode first. So the LE really peeked my interest.Boy, did this new "LE" model disappoint me. The LED quality is terrible. Look at the picture I posted. To the left is my Surefire G2X Pro (320 lumen) and to the right is the Surefire G2X LE (400 lumen). The pure white output of the Pro is far superior than this green crap the LE puts out. These are the LEDs that the cheap Chinese flashlights come with! And is the LE even brighter? I honestly can't tell a difference being that the pure white light of the Pro is so much clearer that I can actually see further with it. Shame on you Surefire for going cheap....EDIT 9/15:Surefire completely replaced my entire flashlight free of charge for the same model but made sure the one they gave me gave out a light with a pure white tint. And boy did it. It's not warm, it's not cool, it's perfect. Surefire, you had me worried, but you pulled through!I was unable to get pictures of the two "LE"s side by side. But trust me, if you experience any bad tint with Sirefire just hit them up! 5Good choice for Every Day Carry (EDC) Can t think of anything I don t like about this light. Without looking, I believe it s 600 lumens, and the main thing/reason I bought it is for the single function tail cap switch. No multi-function high/low/strobe to fiddle with. And, it is Surefire quality. I do have a Brownell s 500 or 600 lumens light with multi-function, recessed tail cap. But this light has a tail cap switch that is proud, making activation easier with a variety of shooting methods. 5Material misrepresentation The product as 'advertised' (first pic) on Amazon clearly states "600 lumens", while the product delivered (note: the correct model) clearly states "400 lumens". Upon inspection of other web sites, they ALL say "400 lumens" (yes, buyer beware), but this is clearly a case of mistaken or material misrepresentation of the product's capabilities. I feel deceived but am going to use the product as-is. I just want to see this corrected so that others are not misled. 3and I love the high beam on first click design Arrived within a reasonable time, very bright, fits my gun mounts, and I love the high beam on first click design.i loved my other surefire but hated that I had to click twice to get to the high beam... It's a surefire... I bought the thing because I wanted a bright light. If I wanted to use the low setting I would use my headlamp, or my backup flashlight, or my flashlight on my key ring, or the one in my backpack or truck...This light solves that delima, and now I have a flashlight I can rely on, mounted on my shotgun. 5G2X LE Nice light so far. I like it. Took over as my EDC light from my previous E2DL Defender, the 200 lumen model. I carry this in a Raven belt holster with a Thrym Switchback. I already have a 6PX Tactical model but needed dual light outputs for everyday tasks, and I don't like how most of the Surefire light offerings have low->high as the clicky switch order. This high->low works better for me as an EDC compromise. This G2X LE has a noticeably whiter light compared to the 6PX and is also noticeably lighter due to the G2X body not being metal like the 6PX. Still, it feels like it'd take a beating despite the lighter material. Also, the heads are exactly the same so works well in my kydex holsters I already had for the 6PX. 5Useless in an emergency I bought it several months ago, but I have not had a reason to use it. Last night, during a storm and power outage, this flashlight did NOT work. I did not have a back up. I needed to check for flooding. This product is a disappointment. I went to buy batteries today. They cost $10.00. Furthermore, the low beam, high beam, are not functional. Waste of money. 1
