Great Light. Excellent With Hardhats. Just Get Extra Batteries Pros: Bright, easy to use, and has an excellent rubber hardhat strap. Battery life is spot on to advertised. Spot and flood are calibrated well.Cons: Takes a long time to charge. Doesn't dim to black as battery dies. Instead will flicker/act erratically.This headlamp stays brighter much longer than the coast headlamp i was using previously. And it doesn't eat AAA batteries either!I really like the twist activation, since it makes it much less likely I'll leave the lamp on after i crawl out of a boiler. Saves battery life and I don't blind coworkers. I would recommend getting at least 1 backup battery for it, however. 5Awesome headlamp I use this light for automotive work. It's lighter weight than others ive seen, battery has never gone dead on me, and puts out plenty of light. I usually use the diffused lens but the spot is nice when watching something closely. Good quality, Definitely recommend. Only downside is it takes a while to charge. I always plug in after using at the end of the night so that's not an issue for me. 5At last, a good one for farmers My needs are a bit different from those of most buyers. I have a farm, and in winter I haul water to the barn twice or more a day, depending on how quickly it freezes. And of course there are hay, grain, and sometimes medical supplies to carry as well. I badly needed a light that I didn't have to carry, given that my arms are always full. I tried several headlamps, but apparently the terms "superbright," "ultrabright," etc., are relative these days. Those others may seem extra bright for a runner or camper, but they're definitely not bright enough to maneuver in a pitch-black barn, and I would never try to give an injection to a sick animal without bright lighting. This one works for my needs, and I find it easier to use; my gloved hands seemed to fumble with the controls on the others, whereas swiveling the whole disk on this model with gloves on is easy. I've used it every night since I received it. When I come in after making my rounds, I plug it into the computer port for charging so that it will be ready for use the next night.Seems sturdy, and it looks good enough for all practical purposes; I was surprised by the comment that it looks "cheesy." Clearly I'm not current on the aesthetics of flashlights. My priority is not how it looks but how well it allows me to see. 5This is by far the best headlight that I've ever bought This is by far the best headlight that I've ever bought. The rechargeable battery is a great feature and I can't wait for Amazon to start carrying them online for purchase. This bad boy will work for me nearly all day depending on whether I'm using the high or low setting. However, if you don't remember to charge it after each day of use, it will most likely die the next morning while you're using it. The battery pack is SO much lighter than AAA's too. Hence why Streamlight needs to get their butts in gear and start making spare batteries available for this product! It takes quite a while for the battery to charge so in my opinion, you really need a second battery to take full advantage of this item's "rechargeable" capability. I have no doubt that if you had one battery on the charger at all times, it would be fully charged before you fully drain the one in the headlight. Don't bother trying to buy a different headlight. This baby is bright, rugged, lightweight and comfortable. My ONLY complaint is that the buckle for tightening the elastic ends up right above my left ear after adjusting it which in turn makes my Peltor ear protection not seal perfectly. 5I really like the simplicity and usefulness of this light. Simple, easy to use, easy to recharge and gives a very good light. I use it on a hard hat for work in industrial installations and it is perfect because it is easy to turn on and off, easy to tell when it is on or off, doesn't have lots of useless features, has good brightness and is rechargeable in my truck.So many lights out there are needlessly complicated and hard to use with gloves and in stressful situations--oh, and the difficulty in changing batteries on most lights is a royal pain. I can just plug this one in while driving and it is charged and ready to go in no time. 5Good headlamp, only lasted 6 months Good headlamp, like the rechargeable battery and being able to use AAA batteries option. I work at a Freightliner dealer and work under trucks all day long. Low setting lasts almost my 8 hour shift. I sweat alot and the band has stretched quite a bit and today I noticed my streamlight wasn't turning on at all. I guess moisture from sweating got inside and rusted the grounding coil wire for the battery and broke off from the circuit board. It lasted almost 6 months but for the price I wish It would have lasted a lifetime 4Excellent work light I purchased this product so I could have a rechargeable headlamp with the capability of accepting multiple types of batteries (the included rechargeable and AAAs.) Spot has the perfect beam divergence (subjective opinion) and flood is excellent for working up close. Low is good for most tasks and high is great for anything greater. My intention for this product was to use it as my headlamp for thru-hiking the PCT, and I chose this device because I love streamlight and I have had excellent experiences with them in the past, both their products and their customer service. This headlamp is pretty fantastic overall in terms of how it seals, how it operates, and light output. All said and done, this is NOT a good headlamp for hiking. For general purpose, it lacks a redlight (not a big deal for me), but the deal-breaker is that this thing is HEAVY (relatively speaking). I highly recommend this product for those that will be using it for legitimate work in low-light conditions light such as crawlspaces or pipework, where you can leave it on the charger for the better part of the day. But for thru-hiking, its weight and relatively short battery life make it not the best option. 4Great lamp, flood feature is excellent, easy on off switch I use this 5 days a week in the mill I work at. Battery life is not as long as stated but it is nice to be able to swap out the rechargeable battery pack for 3AAA. The flood feature is what I love best about this light. Easy on and off switch for wearing gloves. Buy this one you will not regret it, I own several head lamps. This one is my favorite by far. 4Great headlamp! Great headlamp! Like the two different modes (spot and flood) well made, rechargable battery and can use alkaline batteries as well...light is super bright..what's not to like! I've used streamlight products in the past and never had issues with them. There are cheaper lights available...but trust me...come off that wallet and get quality...you won't be disappointed! 5RELIABLE, RESILIENT, REASONABLE AND RECOMMENDED! This is the second Double Clutch I've purchased. The reason for a 2nd? I'm afraid of being without it in the unlikely event I lose one. This light is bright, versatile, reasonably priced, extremely durable and most importantly: reliable. My first has been through, honestly, over 1000 batteries. I wore out the headband, fortunately it comes with an alternative rubber headband for helmets. Now that I have two, I no longer have to use disposable batteries as I have two rechargable battery packs and one is always charged/charging while I'm using the other. It's extremely easy to turn on, even with big gloves or oily hands. I can't say enough good about this light. The only problem I've had is the dial became sticky. I was able to disassemble and grease the ball bearing and contacts behind the rotary lens dial. Now it turns on/off easier than it did when it was new. Long story short: I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LIGHT! 5
