    Home use sturdy built non focus beam I use Streamlight flashlights at work everyday as a professional aircraft mechanic on night shift. I bought this because of brand name but not for my job.This is strictly the well made Home use variety of head lamp. These type of LEDs cast wide light not focused beam. The 3 brightness is handy for everything from night light reading a book in hospital room with sick relative to full bright for under the hood work in the garage or crawling underneath car. 4This is seriously bright enough for dangerous work conditions. I bought this headlamp for my father after my satisfaction of using the exact same model for two years as a cable technician. I've used this light every day in basements, crawl spaces, and not to mention setting up a 28' extension ladder on poles/cable spans in the dark whether it be a hot summer night or below freezing snowstorm on a public road with no other light sources. This light has some serious power. It fits perfectly snug on my MSA full brim hardhat and is easily adjustable as I switch between the hat and my head every day. Maybe I got a lucky batch because I don't have the issues with breaking clips, switches or battery caps. I'm still using the same one and it appears relatively new. It's extremely sturdy. The only complaint I have is that the light strength on full is only bright enough to do ladder work in the dark for about three hours straight. There is a flashing red indicator for when the battery is low. I've never had this light actually turn off on me, I throw away the batteries when the indicator comes on and put in a new trio of AAA batteries. My company pays for my batteries as I work past dark. Some 5 day work weeks I've gone through only 6 AAA's, some individual nights I've gone through 9. I'm not sure that this is a legitimate complaint because of how hard I abuse the light and my need for full brightness. I'd be interested to see how long rechargeable AAA batteries would last with this lamp. A highly recommend this light to anybody in any line of work. 5Great for up close work but should have lasted longer This was a great light for up close work and very comfortable. Not too bright, just right. Bought this in 2012 and it lasted four years with occasional use around the home - about a couple hundred hours total use. I think it should have lasted longer. Something happened internally with the battery compartment or switch and it would no longer turn on. Back here again debating whether to get another as a replacement. 4Fantastic intrinsically safe head lamp This head lamp throws a lot of light, it is intrinsically safe, and it comes with two different straps so you can wear it on your head or on your hard hat. I have nothing bad to say about it at all. It is really that good. I use it when I have to do confined space entry, I wear it when working outside at night with fork trucks around, I even use it inside dim industrial buildings to get a better look at something and not strain my eyes so much. It is very durable, I've been using this for over a year now. It doesn't use batteries very fast. Overall, it is great. 5Best light you can buy. Don't you love when you buy a product and it FAR exceeds your expectations? How often does that really happen in life? This great little head lamp is a true gem of a product. I use it to do maintenance on my car, maintenance on my house, and anytime I just need a little more light. I carry one in my car in case I break down, I keep one in my tool kit, another in my dresser drawer, and one in my camping gear. I have purchased four of these little lights because I simply hate to be caught without one. Three light settings, rugged, batteries last a long time, fits my head well. 5Great Investment for Work I work road construction, and this has been the year of the night work. I have an LED flashlight, but it was a problem with rummaging through a tool box, or trying to fix a generator to get the light plants up and running. I did see a few cheaper headlamps at the local hardware store, but decided to check amazon.I came across the Streamlight 61052, and decided to give it a try. The build quality is excellent, with gaskets for the battery door and lens surround. I immediately got the product out of the package and attached it to my hardhat, batteries installed I was out the door.I arrived at the project, and almost forgot I had the headlamp on...I peered into our job trailer straining my eyes for the equipment I needed, until that little light came on above my head...literally!The three brightness settings are one of the greatest features of this lamp, the choices are:1 press= 1 Led2 presses= 3 Led's3 presses= 7 Led's4 presses= OFFEven with only 1 Led lit, the area in front of you is filled with brilliant white light, and with all 7 on, you feel like its noon! I would highly recommend this headlight, to anybody needing a little extra light for any activity. I personally cant wait to try this thing outside of work, maybe for some fishing, or camping! 5I own several headlamps... this is the best by far! I do lots of things outdoors, at night. Hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, farming, etc. I own several other Stremlights, the Black Diamond ReVolt, and several cheaper lights. This light beats them all in brightnes, durability, and how far the beam reaches. The head straps are quite good, and seem to wear well. The light beam itself is more focused, with a very clear, defined edge. The batteries last a long time. The one drawback is the weight, but I solved this by using Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries... I get a better operating environment temperature range, longer stored life, more comfort, and better run time... albeit at a higher price. Very highly recommended. 5Good for caving This headlamp comes with two different headbands; one is fabric and elastic for use on your bare noggin, and the other is a heavy rubber strap for use on helmets. I use this light with the helmet strap for caving, and it stays in place well, even when being scraped against the sides of a cave passage, and cleans up easily. The three brightness settings are good for different conditions, depending on the size of the passage or room I am in. Lower light for smaller crawls, map and instrument reading, or eating, and the high setting is good for large rooms and passages. Battery life is good. On a 14 hour cave survey trip I changed the batteries once, in the last hour of the trip, not because the light was becoming dim, but because the built in law battery indicator (a small red led) was on, and it was a convenient time to do so before sealing my cave pack and beginning the long slog in a stream passage back to the surface. Although I have not had the light completely submerged, it has become very wet and the post trip inspection showed no water infiltration. The adjustment range of the light (how far it can be rotated on the base) is good, and can be adjusted to put the light where you need it and keep it there. This is a very good, relatively low cost light for caving. 5A very bright light This is a very good light for night work . I m a lineman and I think this is the best light I ve seen . The batteries last about 5 hours on full illumination. I can follow wire through the trees without a storm light , that s what sold me on them . The straps aren t the best both the elastic strap and the rubber strap loose tension and loosen up after a couple of months . Wish they came with a Velcro attachment for my hard hat with a second Velcro on the back of the strap . Rechargeable batteries would be a good purchase with this light . 5Pay attention to how you put the batteries in All in all a great product and we use it almost every night around the farm. My one real heads up is I nearly broke it when trying to put the batteries in as the tube has to be lined up with some grooves that run along the battery compartment. If you don't line it up then the tube will get stuck and the lamp will not work. Just be mindful of that. Other than that one thing, the product works perfectly and is worth the money 4
