Keep in mind that this Nema 23 motor draws 2.8A per phase (two phase motor) so it should not be driven by small motor drivers. The Nema 23's are used pretty extensively in CNC applications, which is what I'm using mine for. Enough power for light aluminum at a decent speed.I gave this four stars instead of five as one out of the four I purchased was bad, and caused me to have to tear apart my machine to replace. I had to re-solder wires, etc. and caused some down time and headache. I think generally they are generically pretty reliable, but in my case I got a dud that was working intermittently. I would still recommend them, despite my little setback or a 25% failure rate.I will also add that the units that come from Open builds have a wire sheath to contain the four wires, and it makes for a nicer appearance. This particular unit does not have that. It's a little thing, but I like a clean appearance to my builds.4Easy Easy hook up. (rating changed to 5 stars)OLD COMMENT :Torque at 12V is not impressive. (I think its < 1 N/m because it barely performs better than a nema 17 rated at 0.42 N/m)EDIT: the driver I use (A4988) has a voltage regulator with a screw allowing to increase the voltage.
