Cute Light That Works! This Spaceman is sooo cute. It works just fine and lights up a laptop keyboard really well. I like it so much that I bought another one for my wife. The picture is a little deceiving because two light bulbs light up so the entire face visor does not fil with light but yoy get two lights. 5Overall a fun little product Bought this to go with a little space theme at my desk at work and it s great! You flip the helmet visor back and forth to control the light (the light looks more like two eyes, it s pretty funny). The cable is bendable and supports the astronaut s weight so you can manipulate how it is suspended in the air, but the cable isn t too long so you are a little limited. Overall a fun product that has enough light to read by in the dark. 5Very Cute and Functional - But I Ripped Out His Eyes This little guy is so cute! I bought it for work for a tool we have that requires a small light. I decided he wasn't bright enough though, so I ripped off his mask, took his head apart and upgraded his eyeballs with new and improved LEDs. My little astronaut now has 2 watts of power bursting from his eye sockets. He is glorious and will probably be worshipped as a god when he returns to his home planet. The pain will be worth it, Bob. 5Cool Conversation Piece I am very happy with this little spaceman. I bought it because I love geeky gadget things. It goes well with all the other quirky items I have in my home. The flexible gooseneck is firm and maintains whatever position you pose it in. I have read some reviews where people thought their astronaut was broken because it would not turn on once they opened the helmet. At first, I thought this very same thing when I tried turning mine on, but I quickly learned that you have to slide the helmet cover all the way to the back of the astronaut's head and then SNAP it into place. Once it is snapped properly, the light will come on. There is a small push-button on the backside that the helmet has to be locked into. You can push on the button with your finger, as well, but of course your finger has better things to do than to hold down this button all day long. So, I highly recommend the convenience of the locking helmet feature. I have small hands, and it is a little difficult for me to unlock the helmet when I want to turn the astronaut off, but I also struggle with pickle jars. First World Problems. I have not tried to read a book or study rocket science by the bright white LED glow shooting out of this astronaut's eyes but I am pretty sure there are some hardcore geeks out there who can and do use this little bugger for these very tasks (good luck on your studies, my friends). Overall, if you like random oddball stuff, this USB Astronaut Light is just waiting for you to toss it into your Amazon shopping cart as we speak. It feels sturdy and worth the harrowing mail delivery journey. Since it was made in China, just imagine the stories it could tell, if only it could talk. Perhaps, instead of rolling our eyes at the point of origin, we can opt for a different take on the matter. I don't know about you, but I personally have never made a voyage across a great big ocean in a cargo container before. This in and of itself makes this astronaut one brave fella! Yep. Just file this review under 'yet another Amazon customer with way too much time on her tiny bored hands'. Cool product, yo. 5Cute, unique, and fun Really cute, the light is bright and the cord is sturdy and flexible. Only drawback was it was a little heavy so it may not light up if it weighs down, causing the USB to not properly plug in 100%. This, however, can easily be fixed if you adjust your cord into a coil so that the spaceman isn't positioned to weigh down at one side. This was a gift for someone and it was a hit. Great for people who love little fun gadgets. I would rebuy again for gifting. Thanks! 5Really cute! We saw this and had to have it, actually we had to have several to give to our kids and grandchildren. Really cute!! There have been some reviews that claim the "umbilical" wire is weak. So far, no problems with any of the astronauts hovering above our computers. I would recommend this as a useful keyboard light and a cute novelty. 5Adorable, great for a gift... including for yourself! This little guy is really cool, and adorable. His "hose" is stiff enough to support him in almost any position, although I've found that he has a hard time with vertical USB slits (like on the sides of monitors, etc.).I've used him near the coffee table during movies when someone needs a little light in a dark room. I've used him in the car at night so people can see things, like digging through a purse. Most of the time I have him plugged into my counter top USB outlet and turned on at night for some light. He looks really cute hovering over a bottle of wine, looking like he traveled millions of miles to discover the greatest thing in the universe. You do have to push his visor all the way back until it clicks to get it to turn on. Takes some getting used to, but it's no big deal, other than thinking that you got a dud at first, or when a friend tests him out and they're afraid he'll break. 5Soondar Space Man Laptop Light I am so happy to have purchased this. It compliments my family's style so well. The light is bright enough to light up my laptops 11" keyboard. The item seems very durable. I love how it turns off and on. I would recommend this little space man. I am satisfied. Thanks! 5This product is really cool and funny but the wire is cheaply made and ... I bought this because I am a space nerd. This product is really cool and funny but the wire is cheaply made and not sturdy enough to hold up the spaceman very well. This puts much strain on even the sturdiest of USB ports. The helmet switch is also a little funky when it comes to sliding it soon and off. 3Works & is bright! What a cool little light. I bought it to supliment an alarm clock that didn t have lit buttons but did have usb. The helmet visor is the on off switch: visor has to be all the way back to hit the micro switch. It was just what I needed & it s bright enough to function as a night light as you navigate the room 5
