Nice supply Great price and works as advertized. 5Sitting in an unvented plastic box in the sun screwed to my house and is still alive. No noise or fussing. 5Five Stars works well 5REVIEWS FOR ALL 4 POWER SUPPLY MODELS Disclaimer: After posting an unsolicited review for the Daxpoo PS60-W1V12 12V60W, I was kindly asked to post unbiased reviews for their other 3 models that were sent to me free of charge.Daxpoo PS60-W1V12 12V60WSize: L:110mm x W:78mm x H:37mmI was searching for a 12V 5A power supply to install in my alarm cabinet to power a Raspberry Pi2 and a networking switch. The 8-port Netgear switch requires 12V 1A and the Raspberry Pi2 requires 5V 1A therefore I opted to install a 12V power supply and a 12V to 5V adapter. A power brick or wall-wart style power supplies were not ideal due to space in the cabinet and location of outlets. My best option was to use a panel-mount power supply such as the Daxpoo models.As my power cord I used an old computer power cord cut just long enough to reach the outlets. For the Netgear switch I used a DC power cable from an old power supply that I wired up to the Daxpoo PS60-W1V12 12V60W s terminal strip.The RPi2 requires 5V and not 12V so I purchased a USB power adapter that takes 12V and powers 2 USB devices on amazon.com. A short USB cable connecting my RPI2 to this adapter keeps things tidy. Given the power surplus, and the output terminals on Daxpoo s power supply, I will easily be able to add additional devices.For those who may not be familiar, 60W (watts) at 12V (volts) is 5A (amps / ampere). Formula: W/V=A. Knowing this can help you calculate whether this power supply is powerful enough. Always leave some margin to avoid overloading it. Although this will likely lead to leaving more margin than needed, one could sum the output power of all the power supplies you are replacing to get the total power needed given there **supposedly** already was a margin built in already for each device.A couple of the critical features that led me to buy this power supply were the smaller size compared to anything else I could find, and the orange plastic cover for the terminals. While you will not get shocked by 12V, you WILL get shocked if you touch the 120V input terminals. The orange flip cover reduces the chances of accidental contact however they do NOT cover the terminals 100% so use caution! This is not a product defect and actually is a major safety benefit that they used this type of covered terminal.I cannot speak to the stability of this power supply over time, and under load. I have not hooked it up to my scope to see what its output looks like however I did measure its output voltage just in case. The voltage was just over 12V and within specification. If you need to adjust it, there is a small trimmer next to the terminal but DO NOT adjust it with anything wired up to the output in case you overshoot the voltage you need (I do not know how far up this can go, but it is safer to adjust it with just a digital multimeter (DMM) wired to its output.The only thing I was not thrilled about was the packaging... the unit arrived in good shape except for a corner that was bent in (where the screw U cut is) but it was easy to fix. The product box was a bit battered too but overall the item arrived safe.Daxpoo L60-w1v12 12v60wSize: L:160mm x W:40mm x H:32mmJust as the model I purchased (see section above), this power supply has a universal 100V to 240VAC input and a 12V DC 5A output. For a power supply of this type, this is one of the smallest I have seen, and the narrow design will lend itself for installation in tight spots. I am assuming that due to the design aiming for a reduced size they omitted the trimmer for tweaking the output voltage which in most cases is absolutely not necessary (if you need the ability to adjust the output, get the Ps60-w1v12 12v60w model). In any case I measured the output voltage to see where it was and my measurement was just over 12V which is perfectly normal/acceptable. I could not resist opening the power supply to peek inside even though an amusing sticker warned me that by opening the unit they would likely refuse to service it if it breaks (again this is normal but the English translation used on the sticker was amusing see picture). For those curious to see the tidy PCB layout inside this power supply, take a look at the attached picture.Due to size constraints the screw terminals are much smaller than the ones on the model reviewed above so I had a little difficulty inserting the power cable wires because I had tinned them. As long as the wires you want to use are not much bigger than 16, maybe 18 AWG, you should not have a problem.Daxpoo L100-W1V12Size: L:185mm x W:46mm x H:37mmMost of what I wrote for the model above applies to this model as well given the design is nearly identical with the exception of size and the output being 8.3A at 12V DC. To avoid duplicate text, please refer to the text above.Daxpoo NL150-W1V12 12V150WSize: L:200mm x W:58mm x H:37mmMost of my comments above apply to this power supply being very similar. This is the largest and most powerful model with an output of 150W, equivalent to 12.5A at 12VDC. Given the higher output it has 2 terminals for V+ and V- so you can connect multiple devices more easily. This is a single rail power supply so it doesn't matter whether you connect all your load on one set of terminals or split it across the two sets of terminals. Having the extra terminals is really convenient when connecting multiple devices to be powered by a single power supply.Given the extra power, and therefore extra heat this power supply will generate, the chassis they used is just a large heatsink with fins to increase heat dissipation. Overall I really like the design of this model! 5Excellent value low voltage supply I'm using this to power indicator LEDs on my model train layout. Works great and fits nicely under the table held in place with two screws.The only thing you need to be careful with is that the A/C (120v) terminal screws are only marginally protected, so be careful where you place your fingers if it's plugged in. 5Four Stars Takes long time to power up after switching on. 4Five Stars Great product 5Best thing I've ever done for it I used this to eliminate using a battery for my electric fence. Best thing I've ever done for it. No more worrying about if the battery has discharged and the fence is no longer energized. This thing pegs the meter on it at all times. 5Five Stars Works great, adjustable from about 11.5 to 14v. 5
