Customer Reviews

... what i thought so many people say it is better then my mr Q but it is not it ...not what i thought so many people say it is better then my mr Q but it is not it dose get the 10 meter and 12 meter band well 3Five StarsEasy setup. 5Great service on the shippers endI received the antenna really quick. Great service on the shippers end.Everything arrived undamged. A friend assembled the antenna which was pretty easy and he then proceeded to the roof and installed it.So far this antenna is everything it claims to be and then some. Its a great antenna. Right out of the box i have a 1.3 Match on 11 meters (cb band). The higher up the band i go the better the match. You dont need to tune this antenna or adjust the match. If your station is set up correctly you will have a good match.I have heard that these antennas don't do well with heavy wind. I live in South Jersey so we dont have tornado force winds so this is yet to be seen how it handles the wind.I have heard mixed reviews about the Sirio and Imax 2000 about wind. Some people said they had their Imax antennas up for 2 months abd it snapped.I had my Imax up for 15 years and it snapped. So i am taking my chances with the Sirio Gainmaster. This is a great antenna! 5Sirio Gainmaster AntennaI received the Sirio Gainmaster Antenna I ordered and was pleased with the prompt shipping and careful packaging. I was even more pleased when I installed the antenna and made my first radio contact to a radio operator several thousand miles away. I would recommend this antenna to anyone who is interested in exceptional quality and prompt service. I couldn't be more pleased with this transaction. 5Excellent 10/11 Meter antenna - Worth the extra money if you want quality and capabilityThe antenna is good design and works very will. It arrived quickly and in great condition. The only thing I worry about a little is the radome construction. It seems a little flimsy but maybe that was necessary to allow flexing in the wind, snow, and ice. My concern is that the split ends where one section inserts in to the other could break. If you only put the antenna up once (which is probably what most people will do) it will be just fine. The quality of the rest of the antenna appears to be excellent. And of course you can't beat the bandwidth. 4I like this antennaI like this antenna! Easy to assemble and errect and my first hookup was the alloha state from Idaho! Not bad for first time out! I used an inch and half water pipe for a mast and the mount supplied with the kit bolted right up perfectly! Complete, easy installation! I recommend this highly! 5Flawed Antenna for 10 Meters Ham RadioArrived quickly and was easy to assemble. All the metal parts are stainless steel or other rust-free alloys. The fiberglass sections seem to be almost twice as thick as other vertical antennas I have used previously. I installed it at the peak of my roof on a four foot tripod, with a heavy copper ground strap to Earth ground. Even when the band is not "open" I can tell from contacts with locals that this antenna is a good performer. When conditions are right, I have made some 1,000 mile+ contacts with my 30-50W transceiver. My SWR is nearly perfect. The Sirio Gain-Master also works on CB frequencies (27Mhz) but I have not tested that band yet. There are NO elements to tune at initial set-up or when switching bands later.I did notice one point of concern... a paper insert with the antenna suggests adding synthetic guy lines (not wires!) in area of very high winds. My antenna went through one storm with wind gusts about 50MPH and did swing around a bit but survived. I'm not too worried about it. Maybe if I lived along the coast or a mountain top, I might consider Kevlar guy lines.I'll post an update if anything changes. 73.Update March 2016: Wind gusts up to 48MPH and it snapped. Trying to get repair part but unsuccessful so far...Update March 2017: Sent all info to Italy that my dealer suggested. Waiting for replacement fiberglass section still...Update July 2017: Obviously Sirio is ignoring me. Still no response. Waiting YEARS for a replacement part. I even offered to buy it!Took it down to repair myself. In addition to the broken segment, ALL THE FIBERGLASS is flaky and cracking. Defective materials?CAUTION anyone from purchasing from a company with zero customer service skills.I'm going to include some photos of my repair with Flextape ... 1Works for me...Works for MY purposes - ten meters only. 11 meters; SWR goes a little higher. 12 meters; SWR is close to 2 to 1. However, I am using this for DX on ten meters exclusively. I have it mounted low to the ground, about 16 feet above ground. I would not go very high with this since it is a very lengthy antenna and I would be skeptical about their wind specification claims. I have talked from Japan to Germany; Alaska to Brazil with just 100 watts. Nice, low noise DX antenna. BTW, EXTREMELY easy to put together. I liked that. 4Five StarsGreat antenna easy to assemble and lightweight. Fast delivery very pleased with product. 5THIS IS A KEEPER SIRIO GAIN MASTER ****I was looking for a antenna that wood work good on 10 meter and 12 meter .
