This is nice with scabbard base (long part) made of metal and two ends are hardened plastic of some kind with detachable belt loop section if you want to take whole thing off your belt without removing belt loop section until later (convenient on/off). Full tang blade. FORGET the "butter reviews." Nothing is "like butter" when you are cutting a branch BUT it's probably as good and smooth as it gets.
