Minus 2 stars for misleading advertisement. 3The protracor I received is off by a half a degreeThis is a well made protractor that is built to survive in the toolbox. The main purpose of a protractoris to measure an angle. In my opinion, this protractor is incorrect by about 1/2 degree, andYou Tube has a video showing how to correct this. Something else can also make it better. Puta 6" ruler scale, a useful convenience, on the arm of the protractor instead of leaving it blank,a waste of the space. Furthermore, extend a line across the angular scale from 0 degrees to180 degrees, which will make it easier to line up this axis. 4Should have bought one sooner...Well made, stainless steel, does what it's supposed to, what more could you want... maybe a hole to hang it up, but besides that this tools rocks! 5Excellent protractor, and sturdyExcellent protractor, and sturdy. It was essentially junk, and the same price as the Shinwa.The Shinwa is a vastly superior product in every way. You can buy both just for the entertainment value to see the ridiculous difference between the two. If the Chinese Changda were to cost only $2 then I would say you were getting fair value for your money. At the same price as a real protractor its just a waste of time to buy and return. Yes, its made by a tool company in Illinois and yes, it gives the impression of being superior quality because of a Japanese name. But it is a good protractor 5Very good quality, a pleasure to use.More sturdy than i had expected, and accurate enough in my little machine shop for angles that don't need the precision of being indicated in with a sine bar. I really like that I can set the thumb screw just snug, then press against the surfaces to measure, and it holds the reading. 5Its the perfect tool for things where I need to draw a ...I use this all the time in my wood shop. Its the perfect tool for things where I need to draw a reference line at a specific angle. I will usually find the angle and draw the line as long as I can with this. Then finish the line with a straight edge. I have had this thing over a year now and its still going strong. No rust. Hasn't fallen apart. Non of the increments have faded on it. Its a great little protractor and the steel its made of is thick enough where it has no flex. 5I would give this a 4.5 if I couldFor the price it's definitely 5 stars, but the edges weren't milled as flatly as I was hoping, causing a half a degree of inaccuracy at 0 degrees. It is correctable though with a bit of tuning on a granite surface plate and sand paper or something similar.One other minor complaint is that adjusting the angle can loosen the tension screw. Possibly correctable with some light thread locking compound but I haven't tried it yet. 5
