    It works great. Than you replaced my 8' antenna that was acting up with this shorter one on my Sea Ray. It works great. Than you. 5VERY GOOD ANTENNA This is a marine VHF antenna I bought to replace an old one on my boat. Shakespeare quaity is as good as it gets. It looks and works well on my boat. 5Great antenna I have this matched with a cobra radio in a 19 foot key west. This antenna does the job and comes in clear. The cord comes out the side, and on the other antenna I have the cord comes through the base. I would buy this again. 5Great quality antenna First VHF antenna I've bought and I am very satisfied. Picks up signal well. 5Antenna great, instructions for adapter incorrect. Antenna is great for the price and easy to install with the correct mount. The antenna comes with a good length of wire that the instructions say to wrap the excess in 8 inch loops. The connector for the antenna is suitable for most VHF radio outlets, however, the instructions for the adapter do NOT match the connector provided. Through some trial and error the sequence of assembly is apparent, but not entirely obvious on first look. If the adapter is not coming together well, it is not you. 4It does what it states it will do. Range ... It does what it states it will do. Range is a little reduced due to height, and throw is reduced due to gain. I use this for my 'local' antenna when trying to engage something within a mile or so. This is also for my AIS receiver as in my case I'm mostly interested only about what is within my horizon. 5Might be a nice antenna, but you have to finish the connector ... Excellent reception. 5The longer the better reception Bought 4 foot antenna yo small. The longer the better reception 4Well packed & performs great Very good looking antenna. I have to lay it down to go under bridges & performs very good even in a horizontal plane. The shipping box was over 4 feet long & dented on the outside. Looks like the trucking workers tried to fold it. But this antenna was so well packed in a strong tube inside the box. it arrived in excellent condition. 5
