    Good function but hard to mount.The antennas worked for my IP camera. The camera is outdoors and I have had problems keeping constant connection with the location even using two different cameras. This antenna worked perfectly. The one huge problem with it is the bezel for screwing it on. The bezel does not rotate freely. It will turn but with lots of friction making it very difficult to tighten the antenna without using the antenna to turn the bezel.This is not the antenna's fault but if you plan to use it for a bullet camera, there is minimal clearance if the camera is at an angle because of the thickness of the antenna base as compared to the OEM antennas from most cameras. The thick plastic base extends the antenna about 1/4 inch further back.4Saved me buying an additional wireless routerThis is best kept secret for boosting WiFi signal in the home. I came across this by accident as I was looking to add a second wireless router, as signal strength in the bedroom was extremely weak, and the cell phones were constantly disconnecting and trying to connect to the neighbours. Now I have a steady 2 bar signal strength (max is 3 bars).5Didn't appear to make a measurable differenceI was trying to improve my signal a little bit on my downstairs wireless, I thought this would help. My wifi hub is in an office in one corner of the floor.I used a wifi sniffer to measure the 2.4GHz AND 5GHz signal all over the ground floor before and after installing these. These made no appreciable, consistent difference in measured signal power levels nor bandwidth anywhere in the house. They did inspire me to buy a range extender, however.Caveat: I'm not a scientist so it's possible that these are beneficial in some obscure way beyond my layman's measurement capabilities. But above, I provide the information I gathered using sweetspot wifi finders and laptop based wifi sniffer across the floor, with averaged numbers, both before and after the installation of these antennae.2Very pleased with the results.These are much tidier than the external Antenna I used to have as I don't have wires everywhere. They are also much larger than you would think. Pay attention to the dimensions in the specifications! Its no bad thing though. These have much improved my 5GHz bandwidth too. Very pleased.5Ok itemAppeared to be good quality/build. Like so many other projects in mid stream I changed design so ended up returning product. Easy return, great service. Would buy again if need arises.5compatible with "most popular wires routers"? maybe not...I've been urged to leave a review on these antennas. Well, I am disappointed because they do not fit my router. I had no information to go on, other than they are some kind of standard connector called RP-SMA. Amazon listing says they are compatible to "most wireless routers and devices", so silly me, thinking the Linksys WRT54G was one of, maybe even the most popular wireless router in the world, then these antennas would work fine with it. Well, that apparently is not the case. So I think I found out what the "standard connector" is that the WRT54G router uses, and found adapters (RP-SMA to RP-TNC for WiFi antenna) to work with these antennas, so I'm waiting for the adapters in order to test out the antennas - will update this review when I get the adapters in and test them out.2Worked Well to Boost Signal from RouterBought these to upgrade/convert a router into a regular AP; they drastically improved the signal range. They also appear to be of good quality and are longer than I expected them to be. I will certainly buy more of these antennas if I ever need them for other applications as well.5Absolute garbage!I thought that I might be able to get better reception out in my garage with these. With the door closed, my stock 3db gain antennae couldn't pick up my home wifi, but could (just barely) with the door open. This was the case for either the 5ghz or 2.4ghz bands.I swapped these in, and they wouldn't pick up the 5ghz band at all. They could just barely see the 2.4ghz channel with the door open -- even then it was weaker than with the stock units.Don't even bother here.
