Customer Reviews

The best night diving light you'll ever purchase at that price( better then Uk's) Ok let me first say that I've been night diving for 20 years and have had a lot of dive lights, from the old uk's to the king pelicans. If you purchased this light, you made the right decision! The first time I used this, it blew me away with how bright it was for just a c3 battery flash light! We just went spearfishing at night 2 days ago and my dive partners had the uk eled 8 c battery flashlight and my light was just as bright as theirs ! My dive partner willie was speechless! The very next day he ordered one for himself and I ordered me another one too lol! People take it from me, I'm a Hawaiian that night dives for fish about 4 to 5 times a month and these lights are one of the best buys you will ever make in your life. If you read any reviews that were bad, in my opinion they just did not know what they were doing lol. These were also the longest lasting flashlights I've ever purchased. After 3 to 4 hrs of diving, the light was still bright and white! While my friends Uk Eled 8 c flashlight had a yellow tinge to it! I recommend this to any seriouse night divers out there! 5Powerful light... worth every penny.... I read some reviews, and was a bit skeptical. This was for a trip to Africa, needed something to walk around when we are in the wild.... so having a reliable product, that lights well, very important... since I did not want to get eaten up by wildlife.Let's just say that this light is SO powerful, it lightened up the ENTIRE BLOCK!!Lol.. love it... the security guards that walk us to the tent for safely were even impressed and asking where to get such a light.Love shinning it in the wild, you would see as far as 1 mile, I would see eyes staring back at me from all types of wildlife (mostly nothing that would want to eat me)Long story short, great light, probably will burn battery fast, but lasted a whole week for me in wildlife, and still running... so if you want powerful light, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THIS ONE!!!I love mine, and one day also do plan to use it during a night dive (scuba dive). 5Wow, this light eliminated the Achilles heel of all dive lights. This is the best dive light I have ever bought. I dive for over 20 years. Lots of day trips and lots of night dives. Bought over 20 lights so far. From I-torch to Princeton Tec to Underwater Kinetics. This SecurityIng by far best them all. All of the aforementioned lights have one thing in common. They all have switches. That is the Achilles heel for all of them except SecurityIng. I don't care how good you design a switch, you will have to breach the case of the light, period. And that in itself compromised the case integrity. After a while and with deep enough dives, the water will get inside the case. Of course all of them, you have to remove somehow to put the batteries in so they all have that. But if any light has a switch, you just introduce another weak point to the light. For this light, it does not have any switch so it eliminate the weak point of the light. It also doesn't have just one o-ring to protect the battery opening, It has THREE (3) o-rings to prevent water to come inside the light. The 3 C batteries give plenty of juice to light up the water. And the LED element is excellent. Powerful light beam and last for a while too. I bought the rechargeable 5000mah battery so there is plenty of juice to last the whole dive. Strongly recommend buying the rechargeable battery as C batteries do get expensive. The construction of the case is top notch. Build like a tank. Feel very solid and very study. I added a tuna clip to the lanyard so I can snap it to the BCD D-ring for easy access. Oh, and someone mentioned that it does not have a bright, dim, strobe options and you have to turn the head to turn it on and off. I will take that over any light that has the switches for those options any day of the week and twice on Sundays ;). You dive, you turn the head clockwise to turn it on to see things, Nothing interesting? turn the head counter clockwise to turn it off. Can't get any simpler than that. So, yes, I highly recommend this light above anything else. This will last for a long time. Just rinse, recharge and use. 5Died before it even got wet. Never got a dive out of it...stopped working before it ever hit the water. Also, the descriptions do not match--some of the literature/descriptions state it can use C-batteries or 18650s, other parts of the description and literature states you can't.Customer service wasn't that great either--they were not going to honor their "warranty" as posted until I pressed them with e-mail after e-mail. I'd use caution and test the light before you use it. I've known folks who liked them, but I didn't have a good experience. 1great for the money! very rigid construction, all metal, thick glass. the seals look very promising too - 2 o-rings in the battery compartment and 3 o-rings at the front where you twist it to turn it on / off. If it's really 1200 lumens, hard to tell but it is very very bright! In my opinion it makes a great primary light for recreational diving. A little on the heavy side and it gets warm when used outside the water so it may not be the best option for extended use above the surface. Runs a good 3-4 hours on 3 C-cell rechargeable batteries (Tenergy 4000 mAh) before getting slightly dimmer. 5The flashlight arrived in good condition. SecurityIng Waterproof 1000 Lumens XM-L2 LED Diving Flashlight UnderWater 150 Meters Depth Bright LED Lighting Lamp Dive Lights Torch for DivingFlashlight arrived in good condition. It was tested with two18650 batteries. With the batteries, the 26650 did not work. I tried it several times, but it worked ONLY with 18650 batteries. The kit did not have an adapter-insert for 18650 batteries. After fully charging new batteries 18650 is no longer on. It is dead. I think that this flashlight is not designed for 18650/26650 batteries, as written in the instructions. Use C batteries only! The instruction is not correct. The LED burns out from excessive voltage. As a result, the working time of the new flashlight was one minute. I'm disappointed because of the time and money spent. And how to get them back now? The flashlight was spoiled before my trip to dive safari. It was not in the water. Perhaps this is for the best, otherwise I would have remained without the light. But my "SecurityIng Wide 120 Scuba Diving Photography Video Flashlight 1500LM" works great.psThe supplier reported that the instructions were incorrect. The flashlight works exclusively with type C batteries. The flashlight has been replaced. 4SecurityIng XM-L2 LED vs UK SL4 eLED L1 I will first start out by saying this is a 5 star product. For the price, you really can't go wrong. But I wanted this review to be more a comparison than another product rave, as it appears there are enough of those already. I'm going to compare the SecurityIng 1000 Lumen XM-L2 LED(SecIng) to the UK SL4 eLED L1(UK). I was searching for a primary dive light in the $60 range, as I typically dive during the day, and narrowed my search to these two items. Both my girlfriend and I needed lights, so I thought I'd buy both and we'd decide among ourselves which we liked better.Light Output:The SecIng is advertised at 1000 lumens and the UK at 400 lumens. I don't have a light meter, but I can tell you that both having a new set of batteries, the SecIng is brighter than the UK. I've posted a picture of both lights side by side in a dark room. It's interesting, in the picture the SecIng looks quite a bit brighter than the UK, but in real life, the difference is not near as noticeable. If I had to guess, assuming the UK is truly 400 lumen, I'd put the SecIng at 600. Also of note, is that the light from the SecIng is whiter and bluer. Both are very pleasant and have that daylight LED look, but the UK has an ever so slight yellow tint to it, when viewed side by side to the SecIng. Winner - SecIngBuild Quality:Both items are built very well. I'd almost call this a draw. The SecIng feels like a tank, like it could be used as a weapon if necessary. The UK is built with high quality plastic and I particularly like the rubber coated lens assembly. In the SecIng's favor, is the fact that it's lens is made from 5mm glass, while the UK's lens is made from plastic. This is particularly good when you consider that both these lights will be getting tossed around in a dive bag and the glass will do a better job avoiding scratches. I also like that the SecIng is waterproofed by 3 heavy duty o-rings(and it comes with spares) whereas the UK only has one and no spares. Winner - TieErgonomics:Ergonomics is where the UK has, in my opinion, the clear advantage. The SecIng weights 507g(with batteries) and displaces 175ml of water. This means that when diving, the SecIng weights 332g, just shy of 3/4 of a lb, underwater! The UK is much closer to neutral, weighing in at 443g and displacing 225ml of water. This means that underwater the UK is a featherweight at 218g or just shy of 1/2 lb. I also like the UK's one handed operation. I hold it with the switch on top, and toggle with my thumb, very nice. The SecIng is a bit more awkward, as it requires two hands to operate. That could get annoying if it were being switched on and off frequently. Conclusion:You can't go wrong with either product. If I absolutely had to pick, given the same price I'd probably give the nod to the UK, just for it's superior ergonomics. However, considering the SecIng is currently $15 less, I'd pick it. 5If the light you receive is manufactured the same as ours it should meet most scuba diver's needs. We have two of the lights and have used them on quite a few dives, a couple over 150 feet. They provide very good light with "C" cell batteries. The beam focus cannot be changed but the beam has a nice center angle with appropriate side spill. If possible, I remove the tail caps on twisty lights so I can inspect and lubricate the O-rings. The tail cap on one light unscrewed easily but the other was difficult to remove because it had thread lock on part of the threads. These lights have three O-rings on the head end and two on the tail. This light is sold with different names stamped on the side, ours were Securitylng. I consider this light a good primary light but recommend a backup and/or battery powered tank marker light when diving at night. I would also recommend changing the batteries often to prevent damage from leaking batteries. I keep them in the cars when not diving. 5nice advertisement, hull is also strong but I put ... nice advertisement, hull is also strong but I put in batteries and turned on, the light went on for a half second, and yes, it looked very bright but then it just went of and never on again. As I live out of USA there is no possibility for me to send back, I receive this product through a freight forwarder.. Very sorry that it not worked as I was very excited to get this.. Not worth a penny in my case, hope others have more luck. 1two ordered-one does not work I ordered two lights. One of the lights does work-and is excellent. The second light does not work. The lights appear to have a very short warranty period. I did not check the second light within the time period-apparently. Check your lights immediately when they arrive and return if they do not work. The light that does work is absolutely wonderful. I am an instructor and cave and technical diving is supported well by these lights. I do use them as backup; however, with the burn time they could function as primary.... 1
