    WORKS GREATWhen I started with the Hamster, it said "having trouble recognizing fingerprint". That happened twice but the 3rd time, it said all set so I tried it 5 times and each time it opened the computer right away with no repeat tries. I had tried another brand and no matter how many times I tried it, I could not register my print. I was apprehensive because of some negative reviews; but, since I always check with the WEB site for the latest drivers anyway, they did not bother me. I do think there should be at least one piece of paper to give the name of the WEB site; but, for me, that is a small issue. With any of these devices, you have to be patient when scanning your first print because a success there will give you many more successes later. So far, I give this a 5-star recommendation. 5High quality product, not for Windows 10I think that this is a high quality product. Unfortunately, even with the help of the manufacturer's engineers, I was never able to get it to work properly with Windows 10 and I am very tech savvy. 5This means that you cannot just plug it into the USB and think that drivers are going to be downloaded and you're good to goIt simply does not work. I bought this thinking it would help me, but it didn't For one thing, it is NOT plug-n-play. This means that you cannot just plug it into the USB and think that drivers are going to be downloaded and you're good to go. It did not come with ANY instructions what so ever and it did not have anything to load programs to my laptop. I haven't had any fingerprint recognition issues in either Windows 7 or 10. It doesn't come with fingerprint management software (FMA) to input your fingerprints when working in Windows 7, but I believe Windows 10 accommodates that through the User Sign-On category. Have been using it now for over a month and just upgraded to Windows 10 without a hitch. 5Poor success rate for scansI've used other fingerprint scanners in the past with no problems. I set this one up and registered 4 prints, but the success rate for recognition was terrible. Most of the time it would take 3 or 4 attempts to get a successful scan. Redoing the fingerprint registration didn't help.
