    Love this Mid Century Modern Look!I purchased this light fixture for a 50's/60's cottage. Its scallop detail matches that era's scroll work perfectly (it is echoed in the original knotty pine kitchen. It holds up to two sixty watt bulbs with a standard base, and will light up any entryway or porch. We put low wattage yellow CFL bulbs in it to deter bugs from gathering at the front step.It is the perfect replacement for the utilitarian fixture which had been slapped on the side of the house, and on the porch ceiling, where it belongs, it looks as if it's original to the home.It is not easy to change the bulbs. The fixture has to come down. But the CFLs should take care of the longevity issue.I found a substantially lower price at my local home improvement big box store, and got a great deal there because I purchased during an 11% off sale.This was the perfect replacement fixture for our mid-century modern cottage. It simply fits! 5parts missingwhen shipment arrived there was no glass for inside the fixture. So I had to have glass cut at the local hardware store before installing the light fixture. 1Ok for the priceIts light weight but serves the purpose. I had a 60 watt bulb but it attracted too many bugs so i placed a smaller watt bulb in it. 3
