    Nice picture, limited functionality, no frills.Great picture! No built in wireless internet connection. Provide your own FireTV, Chrome or other HDMI based connection. Only one USB port.120hz and 4k through one special HDMI port.4The image only lasted 7 months. Don't buy this brand.The picture on this tv went out after only having it for 7 months. I looked up Sceptre's warranty and I'm responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the company to get it repaired. Which will cost more than what I paid for it. I won't buy another Sceptre tv. I'll stick with brands that stand by their products and will last longer than 7 months.1and the previous two are still working fine with my sister and another with my friendOrdered this a couple weeks ago, received a day earlier than anticipated :)I'll preface this with I am a snob when it comes to TVs - my previous TV cost about $4,400 (LG)This is my third Sceptre, and the previous two are still working fine with my sister and another with my friend.For a 55" TV with 4K screen, price is excellent. Screen is vivid, contrast is good, settings are limited but it took no time to get it right. Not true 120Hz, which I am slightly bummed about but frankly, I am completely okay with this after having it for a couple weeks. Same goes for 4K, I do not know if this unit is upscaling, because I have no devices that can output 4K, but it looks excellent. Bezel and legs are nice (the legs are exactly the width of the TV so be aware when sizing for a stand that it will be the full width of the TV).No smart functionality but let's be real; PS4, Chromecast, Apple TV or Fire stick are all better than just about any built in TV software. (and reduces price significantly)Get external speakers - internal speakers on this are truly basic :) I did not expect this TV to come with built in Harman Kardon :PBe gentle with the HDMI inputs, mine is slightly loose after moving the TV with cable plugged in still.(oops!)Overall - 5/55Amazing TV for the Price!For the price, I feel like you can't beat it. TV came in great condition, very light for being 55" and having such a bright display (one feature I absolutely love about this is how deep and powerful the resolution and color is, especially watching TV at night!) Watching shows like Mr. Robot and other grimly lit TV shows look exemplary on this display. The actual color pigment of blacks displayed through this TV are something you fight for in a lot of TVs and this TV gives it to you right off the bat. And once again, for the price, it's SUPER hard to beat this. It might not hold up to a $2,000 TV of a similar size, but you're also paying $1600 less!5If you want a nice big, crisp 4k without all the bells and whistlesOne of the HDMI ports died after a couple months, but otherwise this is a great value for the money. Crisp and bright image, lightweight, solid performance4Great price 4KGreat TV at a great price. Only negative was the picture used on description showed a VGA connection, however, there was not one. Had to upgrade to HDMI for display (needed to be done anyhow!).4I have to say I really love the picture of this TVI have owned LG, Sony and Samsung TV's. I have to say I really love the picture of this TV. It delivers a true 4k, beautiful picture.The 120hz is referring to the build in MEMC technology. It works by adding extra frames in between regular video frames for a smoother picture. Like you would get with a true 120hz TV. Sort of like the upscaleing vcr that changes regular DVD quality to BluRay quality. It works very well to give you a 120hz quality picture with just a 60hz TV. As for the sound. It works well, not super surround sound quality but it good. For the price of this 55" TV, you can't complain.5A Great Tv and a Great PriceLet me first state that I gave this tv a 4/5 star rating of the refresh rate. When I purchased it, the details describe it at 120 but it s actually 60. Everyone has stated that and I still purchased it and confirmed it. I wasn t mad but I was dissappointed by the false advertising on Amazon. Now for a solid review.I ordered this television and have given it a decent bit of time before deciding to review it to ensure the tv holds up. And it does. The first thing that blew me away was how big this television is! Even for a 55inch it seems bigger. Comparing to the other TVs in my house of the same size, this one just stands out more.The picture quality is good. I adjusted the settings till they met my personal standards. The menu is easy to navigate and it took a miniscule amount of time to adjust.I use a Vizio sound bar with my tv so I can t comment on the quality of the seamers much. From what I heard, they aren t bad.The delivery worried me as I ve never had a tv delivered before but it arrived well packaged in the box and the tv was unharmed.I can t say anything about the 4K experience because I don t have anything outputs in 4K. I did try my PlayStation 4 on the tv and played Dark Souls 3. It looked great and I certainly was not disappointed in that regard.Overall, if you want a good, large tv for good price, this is a solid deal. I m satisfied with the purchase and can t find any reason to tell anyone to not purchase it.4Good BASIC 4K displayYou get only what you pay for here. Among the sparse features are 4K display, CEC, HDCP, and... that is pretty much it. The 120Hz feature is emulated. The actual refresh rate is 60Hz. The good thing about purchasing this particular TV is that you aren't paying for "smart-tv" features that could be obsolete long before the TV has reached the end of its utility.418 Months later, TV has gone "bad"!I Purchased this TV in September of 2017, and all was fairly fine until the past week. The screen suddenly started to go completely black while watching TV or on Xbox, while the sound remained. Researched issue and it's been frequent with this brand. The quick fix is to unplug the TV for a few minutes and the picture comes back after plugging in, but now we need to do this several times a day. To have it repaired costs more than the TV price and some people that went that route, had the problem happen again. NO TV should last 18 months! I will never purchase this brand again. I would recommend against buying, as it might work fine for a few months or 1-2 years. If you're very lucky it might last longer, but in the end one will spend more money either fixing it (perhaps repeatedly), or having to buy a new and better TV. So, the savings on this TV aren't worth it, to me.1
