    Appears same as Satechi I tried another router which promptly broke. I purchased this unit and it has been performing flawlessly. The setup is quick and easy using the setup Wizard. Once you put it in repeater mode you can no longer access the setup program without reseting the router. The reset instructions in the manual do not work, but a review of the Satechi unit provided ones that do. If you have not seen the review to reset this unit hold the reset button for 3 seconds, release and then hold the reset until only the power light is visible, appx., 10 seconds. Unplug the unit and then plug it in again, the unit is now reset. Hope this is helpful. 5Not Worth Buying The repeater is really hit or miss as to when it works. I wanted to extend my wifi out into my garage so I just left the repeater plugged in once I got it working but every couple of hours it would cause my internet to just stop working, which forced me to only plug it in when I wanted to use it. The bad part about that is that it only worked about half the time plugging it in as needed.The repeater puts you into a no win situation. I would not recommend at all. 1Router Repeater Works as intended so far. Set up was easy. Had to change security key due to the fact this unit doesn't except charactors. Once I chose "Repeater" mode the setup procedure was over. Not sure how to get into the setup again since once it was put into repeater mode I could not access the setup menu any longer. Probably have to push the reset button and start from default if I ever want to change the setting. Using a Wifi analyzer app on my wife's Kindle it appeared to nearly double the signal strength in the upstairs room where we had the weak signal. 4Dont Work. Reboot and defective Buy this item because I had gone well with one that had purchased 6 months ago.This product came defective, it connects to the network but from time to time loses the connection (is 2 meters from the router) and reboots itself. Would never buy this product. It is literally a dump. 36 dollars to the trash.Please buy well-known brands because these new manufacturers appear at any moment only sell defective products.DO NOT BUY 1Worked a little I am very frustrated with this unit.I had one, it worked as a repeater for about 35 days (just long enough for me to not be able to return it to Amazon). Even after the return period, I was able to get a replacement sent to me. The unit did not work at all. The setup was as shown, it gave me a "Successful setup" message, but then it still wouldn't work. I did this 10+ times to no avail.It might work as it's other functions (router, access point) but I still can't get it to work to repeat my original wireless signal. 2Good I use this as a repeater for my wireless router so that I can receive a good signal all over my house. It works. but with one major change. I use 128bit security so I had to manually set that in this unit before trying to connect to my router. Otherwise, I could not enter the 13 character security code. 5Perfect Travel router/WAP This is great. If you travel, you know that many places have internet, but charge for WiFi...per device... Sometime, even though the WiFi is for a fee, the wired plug in the room is always on. Plug this badboy into a wall socket, network plug it into the room jack and voila, WiFi in your room for all your devices...It supports WPS and has a pretty intuitive setup.ALSO, when not travelling, use it as a range extender upstairs or wherever as it functions as a repeater as well..Great value for the price!Yes, it is 110-240 so no transformers, just plug converters... 4Does something, I just dont know what. seriously this is a joke. I don't know what its supposed to do, and couldn't get it to do anything. Its worth about what it costs, a few dollars, and was never so happy to get rid of it. Total waste of my time. 1Works, but not a first choice for Joe Six-pack Hey. It's working. And right now it's working as a repeater/bridge for my home wifi network. I am sitting here with my laptop connected to this device via Ethernet cable, and wireless turned off. That is step 1 in my purchase objective.To be honest, I have futzed around with this thing so much, I'm not really sure how I got here. I am old, and I can barely read the instructions on the little-bitty instruction brochure that came with it. I was able to read its oddball IP address and login (192.168.10.253 - ????) so I guess I cannot slam it too much. But the web interface for repeater is anything but clear what needs to go in each box.Step 2 of my purchase objective was to use this device as a repeater/connection in the field with a Verizon Mifi (890L Jetpack, I think). That goal remains elusive. It sees the Mifi in its list of wireless connect choices in the repeater wizard, and it thinks it's connecting to the Mifi, but the Mifi never beeps with a connection. If I figure it out, I will post some instructions.So I give it 3 stars. If I get it working, I will up that to 4. Or maybe not. You just wish the blasted Chinese would do 20 minutes usability testing on stuff, instead of assuming that we are all nerds. I am fairly savvy, but repeater connects are not something I do every day, so each sentence of documentation, each clue, helps.The reason I say this isn't for ol' Joe is, I'm not really sure what someone would use this device for except as a repeater or field device. I mean, 98% of hotels have Wifi now, so where would this come in? Would you choose it as your primary router, plugged into a cable or DSL modem? I surely wouldn't. So, it rather demands configuration, and the paucity of helps in that regard make it a mediocre choice. 3Good product I use it to listen to pandora on my phone while I am cutting grass so I don't use my cell data. I have an acre and 1/2 and with this placed closed to my side door. I get a good signal over the whole yard 5
