As good as it gets.I have filled many sandbags in many different countries and these are some of the best. I love that the ties are built in, which is much nicer than having to keep a bunch of ties in my pocket. I haven't had them very long, so I can't speak to how durable they'll be after a long time. I live in the panhandle of Florida, lots of humidity and crazy rain all year, and these are used to route water from my house. I also like how they give you many options when it comes to quantity.5Looks small but bigger than I thoughtI purchased bags of sand from the diy store to hold down our basketball hoop but hated the way plastic bags looked outside so I bought these bags with the intention of just sliding the store bought bags inside. When .I first received these, they looked so skinny that I thought there was no way I was going to get these fat store bought sand bags inside, but I was wrong. They were just slightly larger than the bags of sand and with a little help from my son, we managed to slide each bag of sand into these sandbags. The bags come with attached ties so closure was super easy too. I really like them and it looks much better than the ugly plastic bags from the store.5Great valueHigh water on Lake Michigan has caused significant beach erosion in our area. 30 years ago, previous owners dumped large chunks of broken concrete and rebar to deal with a similar problem. Although it slows the erosion, it makes it dangerous to access the water. Estimates for fixes were in the thousands of dollars. A friend suggested sandbags and for less than $40, 100 bags were delivered the next day. A couple hours work and I have a great solution to my problem. The built-in ties are convenient, but may not hold as well as I'd like. I'll have to see how they do after a few weeks of Lake Michigan pounding. But for the price, these bags are an excellent value for me.5Bags, but for sand!You know the kids today, what with their hula hoops and rock n roll music, always wanting the latest fancy bauble to give them that little burst of dopamine. Back in my day, we had canvas sandbags and, by golly, we liked it!But no... canvas sandbags aren t good enough for Johnny Tweetgram and Suzy Instachat.Today, they want better, faster stronger and on that, this product delivers.Lighter than canvas, while remaining strong, with good UV resistance so they don t immediately fall apart when they leave their parents basement, and far less expensive than traditional bags make these a no-brainer.Are they going to help you raise your workout game and get you those sweet extra gains? They re pieces of material wrapped onto themselves and left open at one end in order to allow them to contain sand.In a pinch, they might also serve to contain other aggregate material, such as gravel up to a sensible size, styrofoam peanuts, actual peanuts or synthetic peanuts.They re not good at helping you ace your latest Quantum Physics exam, but they re pretty reliable when it comes to holding sand/other similar aggregate in a vaguely bag-like form.5Seems strong and durableCannot yet tell the long term performance of these bags. It would be useful to have more choice in bag sizes, and also different purchase quantities (100 was too little, 500 too much). I use the bags to hold gravel and small rocks in a very narrow pathway behind a backyard cottage that is prone to erosion. On an earlier attempt to stop the erosion, the contractor dumped loads of river rocks down the slope, which (over time) eroded the pathway even worse. Also, much of the rocks landed at the bottom of the pathway which destroys a portion of the yard. I have had to rebuild the path with bags of rocks. When stacked properly, bags of rocks create a porous, terraced retaining wall while re-directing the water as planned. These bags seem to be a good solution and they seem to be durable.4An added piece of mind during storm season.I bought these (for Hurricane Dorian) to run along the bottom of my garage door. Ultimately, there was no torrential rain, so I cannot honestly attest to their ability to act as a water barrier (although I m sure they would help impede water ingress). I do like the fact that the double stitched bottom seams have held up despite being moved around a few times. The bags came with some helpful instructions for correct deployment, a nice plus for someone unfamiliar with how to properly fill and arrange them (yes, you could do it wrong otherwise). These green woven poly bags were easy to fill with a spade, and the attached poly tie string on each bag works great. I m gonna leave these bags filled for the duration of the hurricane season, and then use the sand to level a few low spots in the yard. Then, I ll rinse out the bags and store them in a cool dark place as spares for the next season.5You asked me to review sandbags.They're sandbags. You put sand in them. How complicated do you want me to make this review. The bags hold sand.5Good quality bagsCouldn t find any bags locally so I looked on amazon, read reviews, looked at others but decided to go with these. Husband started filling them right away with some left over decomposed granite.. glad they give you 10, turns out he needed more than he thought.Anyway they re working great and price is a great value, only about a buck a bag! Then I found premade bags at a box store but kept these. When not in use I left the premade bags out in the weather, and before they reached a year old the shell was falling apart badly. Needless to say these came in handy, and are easy to fill and tie off. Two things I noticed, the shell appears to be the same material as the premade bags, the sand in the premade bags was wet, and after filling these water was running out the bottom seam. When not in use I will have to find inside storage for these and hope they last.4
