    Really sturdy mount, modified for NMO easily, highly recommendedInstalled on a 2017 Toyota 4unner with Comet SBB-7 Antenna and CK-3M5-NMO cable kit on the passenger side hood.I'm really glad I bought this mount even though Comet and Vendor tried to talk me into a smaller mount and Comet support insisted it could not be modified for NMO cable. Local HAMs insisted they were wrong and anything less would be a stability issue with my antenna. Comet was wrong, Hams were right, so now I'm glad I bought this. It is very clear that with the long SBB-7 antenna needs the wider clamping footprint of this mount for stability. It still wiggled a bit and clearly a smaller clamp footprint would wiggle even more and fatigue the hood metal and paint.I had to drill the mount out to slightly oversized 3/4" (used drill and reamed out wider) with plenty of lip left over for reliable mount.4 stars for 2 reasons. The folded over metal and set screws should be longer. This would help the mount not wiggle as much but more importantly would allow it to clamp over (inside) the drip edge of the hood allowing better placement. The clamping screws interfere with this edge making finding a spot to clamp in hard. Fortunately on the 4runner the spacing from edge of hood to this edge varies so about 12" down from the top I could fit it on the outside (inside would have been better). I would rather have clamped it closer to the windshield to get it out of my sight line but this issue prevented that.The other reason is that Comet should make this bundled and drilled for NMO like the RS-730 clamp (which has a less stable footprint) but they do not so I had to modify it. 4 Greyt produkt 5and easy to installVery strong and will not mark surface it mounts to.
