    Great item, extremely overpriced Product arrived as described. Other buyers mentioned the screw being worthless, my screw worked great. May need a second one for the other side, but I just put it up today and it s holding well. Rated 4 stars because it is not worth $38, but I liked the design and there wasn t anything similar to this available on Amazon. It is white Painted wood with a black fabric cloth lined inside. You can not see through this cover because of the cloth interior. Looks nice, but the cost should be more like $10 vs $38. If I had the time I probably could ve bought the materials at a Michael s or craft store and made it myself. 4The cover also looks so much better that the original chime cover If you are using a video doorbell that requires a voltage regulator on the doorbell chimes, then your original doorbell chime cover may not fit. This cover allowed me to fit the voltage regulator without affecting the function of the chimes. The cover also looks so much better that the original chime cover. 5It makes a difference It makes a huge difference but the reason I m giving 4 stars because it s plastic and to me it s over prised. 4Nice cover for existing old doorbell chime. I really like this item. We have an existing doorbell chime that works perfectly fine but the cover is from the 70's and old, cracked, and yellowed. It is in our entry, which is at a split level. I hated our old chime cover because it could be seen from the open upstairs. This cover served the purpose and gave our old doorbell chime a clean and updated look. It also matched well with our white trim around the door.For those of you who are interested it is made of a light plywood painted white and it has a fine mesh fabric interior that is black.Please note: It does not come with any attachment hardware. It is just a cover. It also did not snap on securely like the previous cover that was designed for our chime. To secure it, I used museum putty along the top of the existing chime frame that remained on the wall after removing the existing cover. I then used my level to make sure the new cover was level and pressed downward along the top, letting the museum putty hold the cover in place. It could have just sat on the existing frame and hung there, but I wanted to secure it in some way so that when I dusted, it wouldn't fall off and break. The museum putty did the trick. This is a very light weight piece of plastic, which would be fine if I had paid about $15 and had not been expecting steel. There is one little pin that fits in a hole on a short side. I have no idea how I am supposed to attach this to my current door bell. It looks good but that's the only thing going for it. Not worth the money. Very disappointing. 2Beautiful, but not perfect. We have 12ft high walls in our living room where this is installed. Our door chime is ~6" from the ceiling, mounted horizontally. For our needs it works well, but I would be upset if it were anywhere near eye level.There are visible drips of wood glue and imperfections in the paint. Some of the cutouts have rough edges. As a whole this product looks like it was slapped together in a hurry, which was a major disappointment at this price point. For a $10 item I'd expect it, but at $38... no way.We did ultimately decide to keep it. At its current location the flaws aren't noticeable. Installation was easy, if a little confusing. It comes with one screw and a hole on one short side of the rectangle. 4This is a very pretty door bell cover This is a very pretty door bell cover. The screw in the back was useless but I made it work. 4Kind of expensive, but looks great. I love this thing, although, damn, $36? Well, I paid it and it is perfect. Fit right over my 1980 box on the wall & you can t tell it s just a hollow decorative box (with some black lining material to make it not see thru). I measured the old box on the wall, thought there d be some slack in the fitting based on measurements provided in the description. When I got this item & slipped it over the box, it snapped into place rather snugly but perfectly. A little white screw came with it but I didn t use it. Looks great. 5This was the ONLY one I could find and I was okay with it because I like the design Our house has a really old doorbell cover that I thought I would have no problem finding a replacement for but boy was I wrong. This was the ONLY one I could find and I was okay with it because I like the design, but it is much thinner than I thought and did not cover the inner workings of the doorbell so I had to send back. I will say they were wonderful about the reutrn. Got back to me very promptly and refunded me as soon as they received it back in the warehouse. 3Unique doorbell cover! Needed to update our doorbell cover after we had our foyer repainted. I have a pretty unique taste and wanted something subtle, but that would make a statement. So happy I found this! As others mentioned, it may not fit perfectly over the size of the existing doorbell but there s a pin on the side that keeps it flush. Love it!! (In the picture it s on the very bottom). 5
