Customer Reviews

Improves reception for hotspotI have a hotspot that I am using for home internet service. Before I bought these antennas I was getting at the highest maybe 6 Mbps upload and 1 Mbps download. When I attached these and set the Mhz to 40 and the Mimo to 2 x 2 my speed increase at least to 14 - 18 Mbps upload and can top out as high as 30 Mbps download and upload speeds are usually 5 to6 mbps. When I dont have these attached to my hot spot I notice a significant drop in the speed,4Best signal I ve ever hadSo far, so good. We are really rural and have a large home. Until recently, we ve not been able to get great cell/internet service in our home. We purchased a WiFi box from AT&T and with these attached, we ve had the best service ever. Very happy with the purchase.5Doubled my speeds with the MOFI 4500 EXCELLENT Five Stars! Proxicast omnidirectional antennas WORKED!!!!I have been using a MOFI 4500 internet hotspot and wasn't getting good speeds at all, to the point where I was about to shut down the service and return the router/hotspot.A friend has the same MOFI 4500 I do, but with different antennas, I thought they must be making the difference since he's just a couple of miles away. I ordered the pair- Omni-Directional Flat Antenna (2pack) and as the video shows, doubled my speeds and better, right away.I am very pleased and will be keeping my MOFI unit because these Proxicast Flat Antennas made all the difference.I definitely recommend them without hesitation.I cold not find a better on-unit antenna anywhere.5Not For Wireless Home PhoneI got this for a Verizon T2000. Without the antenna attached the device would go between 2 and 3 bars. After I put the antenna on the device and put it through a power cycle, it stayed at just 2 bars.I tried it for a week and found that it may have actually hurt the reception because calls were being forwarded to the voice mailbox instead of coming through. I took it back off and did a power cycle and the device went back to going between 2 and 3 bars.If you're looking to add this to a Verizon T2000, do not use this, as it looks like the T2000 may disable the internal antenna (which seems to get better reception) and limit the reception to whatever external antenna you may use. (I am assuming this as the instructions in the manual state when you add an external antenna you are supposed to turn it on and then back on [power cycle] for the device to detect it)1No improvementI took a chance on these antennas based on the other reviews but found regardless of whether I was using a low band or high band frequency they never provided any increase in signal compared to the internal antennas in my hotspot. In a few locations my speed and reception actually got worse when they were attached. Definitely do not recommend.1Still messing aroundI purchased this to help increase my Netgear 4G LTE Modem (LB1120) reception however it has made no improvement at all. I had 2 bars before and I have 2 bars after. As I said I'm still messing around with antenna placement, currently I have them near a window about 22" apart. Next, I may actually put them outside and see if that makes any improvement. My carry is T-mobile and although they have coverage almost everywhere that coverage is always spotty where you really need it. Living in an RV I have to make what I have work. Again not impressed at the moment as the antenna made no visible improvement. I'll update my status if I get better results.Update:Played around with antenna's inside and outside, different placements and configurations and it made no difference/improvement in my connectivity. With or without them I still only achieved 2 bars. Will be returning.2Signal strength dropped when installed.First, I have NOTHING bad to say about the company that shipped these. The shipping was fast and the antenna's arrived in good packaging. That being said, I bought the TS9 adapters to use with my 4G LTE modem (Netgear LB1120) and not only were the antennas far too large and heavy for the adapters (again, not the antenna manufacturers fault) but when propped up in the propper position, these antennas absolutely degraded my signal. The modem shows "bars of signal" and before the antennas, I was getting 3 "bars" with 5 Mbps download and 9Mbps upload speeds. After installing the antennas, I got 1Mbps download and 0-1 bar of signal max. Im not sure what these antennas were designed for specifically, but they definitely dont work with the Netgear LB1120 Modem. Sorry guys, I really wanted this to work, but sadly, it didnt.1These definitely increase signal strength, but placement and angle are key.We ditched the super slow DSL that we were restricted to (2Mbps down/0.5Mbps up) in favor of an LTE hotspot router via a company that primarily caters to people who spend a lot of time on the road or in a situation where conventional high speed internet is not an option. Since fiber internet is not available in our area yet I am using this until it is.I just upgraded to these new Proxicast paddle antennas from the Panorama desktop MiMo antenna I was using to try and increase the strength of the signal to the local tower and my upload speed doubled while the DL speed jumped up a bit more than I was already getting when at peak speeds (from what I understand, most home internet plans have a cap of 10Mbps upload so this was a bit of a win for me because I tend to upload large files at times due to my business). These are 5dBi (the Panorama is 4.5dBi) and I have some 9dBi antennas coming. I'm hoping those will be able to push me over the 30Mbps down mark because I really want to be able to stream content in 4K, which requires a minimum of 25Mbps. If not, these will definitely do. Still ten times better than I was getting before the service switch. The main thing with these is that you have to play around with the angle and placement for optimal performance but once you have that dialed in you should be very happy with your increased speeds.5I don't think these are even real. ZERO improvement. These do not do what is claimed. ZERO signal strength increase, measured by actual dbm strength and snr - no just by the "bars" my device showed. Taking it to the extreme, I was curious if these even picked up a signal *at all*. I had bought two sets and tried the second set to see if I had a bad set...no dice. These antennas did *nothing*.I physically (temporarily) removed the onboard antennas from my LTE modem and left it with only these attached. Absolutely no signal was picked up at all when only these were connected. This was the case when tested on a ZTE Mobley with an SMA to TS9 adapter as well as when testing with a Netgear Nighthawk M1 with an SMA to TS9 adapter. If someone wants to point out potential user error, by all means, let me know what I might have been doing wrong. From what I'm seeing though, these things simply do not do anything. As it stands these are getting sent back next week. Total waste of my time.1Will not boost, but not expected toI have these hooked to a MC400 Cradlepoint modem and they do work just fine for my application. I have good coverage where they are in use, so I did not need a high gain antenna. These do the trick just fine for that purpose. They are inexpensive and do their job. I may not use these as a long term solution but for 1/3 the cost of cradlepoint's name brand antennas that do the same thing I'm happy with them.My router will mostly be using a pan antenna mounted outside and run the cables down to the modem. These will only be needed when I take the router out of it's home in our RV.4
