    Brogress Spot FixtureSeems a little expensive for what it is. Hard to find a plain double fixture these days. They are sturdy and very attractive. 5Five StarsGood 5-Looks great 5Piece Of Junk - Don't BotherI have no idea what Progress Lighting was thinking about when they designed this thing. For one, the fixture mounting holes don't line up with any standard mounting box (unless you can rotate the box 45 degrees) and there is no adapter to make it work. Second, the mounting screws provided with the fixture are the wrong size for any standard mounting box. The last, and most infuriating part is the base of the fixture is too large to mount properly over any non-flush mounting box (the recommendation from Amazon was RAB Lighting VXCA Weatherproof Round Box with No Cover, Aluminum, 1/2" Hole Size, Bronze Color) -- it does NOT work. Apparently this was meant to be mounted on a electric box flush with an outside wall, not a surface-mount box (which was not at all clear in the product description).I paid more for a Progress Lighting fixture because they used to manufacture a quality product. Not anymore. For sure, this is going back for credit. 1Overpriced and poor quality product made in China!I purchased this item because it matched all of the existing fixtures on our house. The instructions are poorly written. Luckily I did not need them. One of the sockets was broken when it arrived. The entire fixture just feels "cheap". The paint scratches very easily. Also, the supplied mounting screws were too short to attach to the light box. $70.00 is way too expensive for this poor quality product especially considering it is made in China. I wish I could recommend a better quality product but unfortunately, most fixtures on the market today are made in China and have similar quality. If you need a fixture, I recommend just buying one from Lowes. It will be cheaper. Again, the only reason we purchased this particular fixture was in order to perfectly match all of our existing Progress Outdoor Light Fixtures which the builder used. 1Great high quality flood lightMade of high quality aluminum - much better than the Utilitech at Lowe's or Defiant at Home Depot. 5-Great light and a pretty good value-Great light and a pretty good value.-I needed to update a couple of security lights and these fit the bill-I have them set up to a dimmer switch so I can control the brightness.-Overall good quality metal construction.-Held up really well for the two years I've had them 5Poor instructions, wrong sizeFixture looks nice and is what I wanted, but the mounting holes are spaced too far apart for my junction box. The directions refer to "knocking out" the mounting holes that are appropriate. But there already are four open holes spaced on the corners of a square about 2.5" wide. The mounting holes on my junction box are 1 3/4" apart, so no dice. I looked at the back of the fixture and there appear to be knockouts at the correct spacing, but when I tapped one with a punch the base cracked. Maybe I could drill the holes out but it would be a big hassle and I doubt I could manage to get the spacing exactly right. Also, the fixture came disassembled and I think a lot of people might struggle to figure out how to adapt it to their needs. For example, the lights are mounted in holes spaced as shown in the photo, but the base is designed to allow different configurations if you want to have one face at right angles to the other, for example. No description of how to do it while not breaking the wires inside the socket. So I think this could be much better if 1) the hole spacing is stated in the product description on Amazon and 2) the instructions are rewritten by somebody who understands that options that buyers might want to choose. 2
