Customer Reviews

Useful, but junk product only lasts 3-4 times usage.I used this product to weld 1"x1" and 2"x2" iron tubes. This helped me build a perfect fence with perfect 90 degrees joints. Very useful, however this is built to last max 3 times usage, after that, it will broke. The top end washer that keeps the screw in position, will break and then you will have just a piece of junk. Maybe you can invest a bit more on a more quality product than this one. 1Not built to lastWorked wonderfully the first few times I used it, but sadly it broke just like many other reviewers noted. 1Poor quality, light weight clampsI ordered two of these before reading the reviews. Bad idea. They are very lightweight. They are only capable of handling very light weight work. I suppose if you were making small picture frames, they might be helpful. Even then, they are made of such poor quality materials, they won't last long. I attempted to hold 2x4s together, and they wouldn't even hold for one use - the clamps bent. If you read through the reviews, you will see this is a common theme. 2Nothing worse than having a vital tool break mid-projectI wanted to assume my experience could be better than some other people's, but it was not meant to be. Like other reviewers, this broke on the first project I used it for. Another reviewer mentioned that the stopper on the back end of the vice pops off. That's pretty much exactly what happened on mine. It's not strong enough to support the weight of holding two pieces of wood in place. How does this design even pass manufacturer testing? It is even worse when you have to delay a project to go replace it with something else. Should have gone with my gut and not trusted something with lower than 4 stars.Threw it in the garbage broken about 6 hours after it arrived. One of the shortest terms of ownership i have ever had for something.Spend the extra $5-$15 and buy a real tool. 1I bought 2 each of 5 different brands of small ...I bought 2 each of 5 different brands of small cheap (2-3 dollar range) C clamps in 4 sizes. I did not expect much in the way of quality, but Pro-Grade sets a new low. The internal threaded area of the clamp is so oversized, I am surprised the threaded spindle dose not just fall through. To back up my review, I measured the spindle deflection near the pad with spindle extended nearly to the anvil.1 inch Grizzly aluminum H0481, deflection, 0.68mm (at 25mm down spindle)1 inch Task Force T74010, deflection, 0.93mm (at 25mm down spindle)2 inch Work Shop 8401, deflection, 0.38mm (at 47mm down spindle)4 inch Lincoln Electric KH906, deflection, 0.96mm (at 100mm down spindle)1 inch Pro Grade 59129, DEFLECTION, 3.05mm !!! (at 38mm down spindle)Deflection just makes it difficult to hold harder materials in alignment while clamping, and almost impossible on uneven surfaces. The standout was the 2 inch Work Shop clamp with a deflection about the same as my Wilton and Armstrong clamps. I ordered more of these. 1Broke during first projectI picked one of these up online to build a table. Honestly, it worked most of the way through, but at the end, the screw hold at the end just snapped off so I chunked it. For the time it worked it was great, and I would five star it had it lasted longer than a few hours on one project. 1Broke almost immediately. This clamp is no good. One of the stoppers that hold the two mini-vices in place broke on the third of fourth use. The flaw seems to be inherent in the design - the stoppers are attached pretty poorly and the pressure applied when tightening the clap breaks them.I returned mine for a refund. 1As advertisedPurchased this to use in building picture frames, cabinet face frames and other misc items. Works exactly as advertised, have had no issues with it. At first I was concerned that it didn't have a fixed outside corner (the inside of the corner is fixed), I soon saw the benefit of this in that it allows you to make "T's" instead of being limited to simple 90 degree "L's". The unit is lightweight, but built well. 5Couldn't begin to use this...I have a picture from my grandmother that is about 100 years old - a little girl looking at a bird in a tree. My mother wrote the words to a song she sang us on the back - I see a bird way up in the a tree. This is the song he's singing to me. God loves us all in a wonderful way. Be happy, be happy today. The frame is loose on every corner but I don't want a new one. I ordered this clamp. Took my project apart carefully. Got the glue on the first corner and realized the clamp was not just broken but it had an essential part missing and was never going to work. I cannot recommend this. It was going to be a one time use for me and I didn't get to use it one time. 1Good for the priceThese may not be the highest quality clamps, but I found them adequate. These clamps are intended to hold thing like veneer to an edge. Don't expect the kind of compression power you get from a C-clamp. For the applications they are intended, you often need a fair number of these. Good enough at a good price is what you are looking for. 5
