    Great product! I've noticed a significant difference with nib ...Pros: Great product! I've noticed a significant difference with nib wear. I would definitely buy another again. Works well especially with the felt and felt tip nibs.In-between: You have to apply it very carefully. It's an exact fit to the surface, so make sure to be patient with the process and clean the surface well.Cons: You lose the tactile, gritty nature of the tablet's surface. So, using the hard plastic pen nibs feels a lot like using the signature pads at the grocery store checkout lines. However, it worked beautiful with the felt nibs. Biggest downside is when you have either sticky or slight sweaty hands. If you draw with the side of your hand resting on the tablet, you won't be able to glide your hand without a cloth underneath it. 5just what I needed!I was really excited about my new Wacom 5, but I was not excited about the gritty, draggy, toothy feel it had when drawing. I was also concerned about wearing the surface down too quickly since I am not able to replace the surface myself with this model. This cover makes the surface extremely smooth to work on, so if that's what you want (I did) go for it. It should prevent expensive nib wear and help you get more life out of the drawing surface (I use mine 5+ hours a day every day). If you're on the fence because this is a 3rd party product, don't be. It's not terrible pricey, and it does the job. It also seems very heavy and durable. I doubt I'll have to replace it anytime soon. A+++Downside: it does deactivate the touch feature, but I wasn't using it (except as a novelty) so I barely noticed. Thought I'd mention it. I have the large tablet, so I only use it for drawing. Using it as a mouse would take up my entire desk. 5smoothno problems whatsoever, easy to install, a pleasure to use. 5PSA from a freelance artist.You wanna compete with the big boys? you better have a Wacom product... And it better be the Pro 5 large or Better. Worth the investment however...1 small thing to look out for.. REGISTER AND GET A WARRANTY on your device. These things cost big money to send in and the wait time is nearly 2 months down time if anything goes wrong. Otherwise...if you know what your doing...AWESOME tech. A Must have tool for any serious graphic artist. 5Your tablet is safe.It is safe to say now, after using this product for a few months now, that as long as this protector is attached, your tablet will not scratch even if a nuclear explosion will go off right on top of it.If you are getting this item to save your nibs from being eaten by the tablet's surface, the resault differs according to which nib you are using. The Intuos 5 comes with a bunch of different types of nibs. The regular one, the one with the smooth surface (the black one), will cooperate superbly with this protector, and will keep it's shape (been using it for a couple of months now, and that is after my first nib got eaten after a week without the protector). In case you are using the less smooth type, the one with the very rough surface, it will last longer than without the protector, thats for sure, but not forever.The protector itself is pretty smooth. If you don't like the new "paper feel" surface that was introduced in the Intuos 4, you will like this product a lot.Also, the touch features will not be compromised when using this protector.I would also like to note the seller for being very helpful and generous.I am very pleased with this item,Thank you very much! 5Nice covergood cover, and not too expensive to replace occasionally.Seems to scratch easily from just laying things on top of it.Good item to protect the very expensive WACOM editing tablets. 4seems good so farJust shortly after setting it up, seems good so far. It even arrived a day early.The only real difficulty in adhering it to the tablet surface was my own inability to actually align it properly and having to try multiple times. The smoothness might take some getting used to, and the loss of the textured feel of the tablet surface is a downside, but I purchased the device itself used and a lot of the grit had already worn away to begin with, so it's not a detriment that hits me too hard. If you only want the cover to protect the tablet itself, and not reduce wear on the nibs, it's not thick enough to keep putting a piece of paper over the tablet from working.This is a product that's pretty self-evident; it definitely will defend the tablet surface and the nib tips from wear and tear. 5A Rough start But Then:It was a rough start; On the way out my door one morning I discovered the Envelope containing my Posrus Large pen tablet surface cover on our doorstep face down. Thinking it was trash to be disposed of;[ something the wind had blown in from the street]. I carefully picked it up by the edges- The shabby white flat envelope was gritty to the touch, badly scuffed, rag soft, dog eared and bent. I turned it over and saw that it was addressed to me. I was shocked - this tattered worn mailing Envelope was not a derelict but addressed to me? Puzzled I brought it in for a better look. Carried it up three flights of stairs to my studio where I placed it face flat down on my drafting table. I began to peel away at the seal but it wasn't easy the cardboard had fought a long battle and wasn't giving in with out a last fight, Like a clam under the sea it was tight fisted and nothing was going to get in. I managed to open one end and found a flimsy transparent thin sheet of plastic peeking out, Then it dawned on me this plastic was my Wacom surface cover... That's it? I thought in dismay, That's my twenty five dollar purchase? It was badly " oil canned"( dented) in several places when I held it up to the light I could see it was dinged and warped- distorting the light; as with no visible protection other than theshipping envelope to protect it every time it was handled (shipped from the East coast to the west )it got bent, dented and even stepped on.I Called the company (Posrus) They asked I send pictures of the damage I Did: They refunded my money with out my asking and with out hesitation- The good news : Turns out The film to protect my Wacom pad is sandwiched between two disposable transparent protective plastic sheets- These received the damage and protected the PORUS Product (film cover). By following the instructions( always a good idea) I was able to apply the film and remove the dented protective covers. Perfect... now to call and explain that I had over reacted. I was informed they had already credited my account( in 5 minutes time) I explained They should recharge me ;they said that was not their policy- so I offered to send a check for a really great product. My anger should have been directed to the post office not POSRUS. The product is Great and the people are Stellar . I offer my sincere apologies for over reacting to the condition of the Envelope- I put the Check is in the mail.It's worth every penny.Andrew C.ArtMetal 5Great ProductIf you need to product your Large Wacom Intuos 5 surface, I would recommend you purchase this. It amazes me that Wacom changed their design and do not offer a surface cover like the one from POSRUS. I would Highly recommend this great product. You will not have to replace your Nibs as much AND you product your surface so you do not have to "pay a nominal fee" to replace the screen on your Intuos 5. 5Great surface for Intuos 5!I've had my Intous 5 Large for about 6 months and use it almost daily. Nib wear has been a lot more noticeable than on my Intuos 3 and last week I decided to see what I could do to help my nibs last longer.I started by searching the 'net and found several posts in which users of the Intuos 4 and 5 used steel wool to smooth out the surface. Let me save you the pain... if you have an Intuos 5, you will only make matters worse with the steel wool. I used 0000 super fine steel wool to GENTLY rub the surface of the tablet in a circular motion and all I managed to do was turn my Intous 5 into a nib-eating machine. I can see the very fine scratches in the surface and they are a very efficient abrasive that wears nibs and makes the tablet uncomfortable to use.Enter the POSRUS Surface Cover! I ordered from Amazon and it was shipped immediately. Took about 3 days to arrive by USPS. Contrary to what some reviews say, this surface cover covers the ENTIRE surface of the tablet, minus the outside frame. I read that it covered the active area only, which is the area on the tablet surface inside the 4 white marks. It actually covers the entire pen surface. Installation was a snap, the adhesive is around the perimeter of the cover only so it's not like installing those nightmare cell phone screen protectors. Took me about 5 minutes for a perfect installation.The surface is very nice to work on. It has a nice feel to it and the resistance to the nib is gone. I'm confident that this will be a great solution. I'm bummed that I ruined my factory Intuos surface but the POSRUS surface is preferable to me anyway. 5
