Customer Reviews

Saved my intous4I have a small intous4 and since the day I got it, I've been worried of scratching it. I used the intous4 for just 2 hours and I had already spotted my first scratch and nib worn out. I was worried at first but after looking at intous4 forum, EVERYONE complained the same thing and the only thing today is to replace the surface sheet and the nibs more often as well as using the pen VERY lightly. That ruined my fun with the intous4 and hated it ever since because of getting scratched. I bought this thinking what the hell might as well try it. Put it, and now my intous4 surface is so smooth and you don't feel any friction at all. My pen nibs haven't changed at all, even after drawing for a week in comparison to changing after 2-4 hours of use.Now for the CONS; I have noticed a slight drop in pressure sensitivity so you would have to make changes to your pressure sensitivity, even though some might not even notice it at all. Instructions could be a little clear as they don't give you much direction as to what goes first. I had to play around a little before I got it right.Overall, for those who are afraid or thinking twice before buying this, well don't be because it is truly worth every penny. 5Great surface coverI purchased this surface cover for my intuos 4 small because the "improved" paper-like surface was seriously getting scratched and wearing down my nibs. It was really easy to apply and so far, it's been doing a great job. My nibs are no longer wearing out and the surface is now slick as oppose to paper-like which is fine by me (it feels more like the intuos 3 surface now). This seems like the only decent surface protector out there since I read the one offered by Wacom is translucent but still paper-textured. Only gripe about the small version of this sheet is that it is slightly smaller than the surface so the sticky parts overlap the edges (by like a millimeter or so). It doesn't really bother me much since I don't draw towards the edges anyways. If you are looking for an quality fix for your intuos 4 small, this is definitely the way to go. 5Excellent Surface ProtectorMost of the older models of Wacom Intuos tablets have smooth, slick surfaces which never ever wear on the pen nibs. In their effort to replicate drawing on paper however, they introduced a new surface sheet with the Intuos4. It doesn't feel rough, just...textured, not that far off from real paper. The problem is that this is a rough plastic surface being pushed on by a smooth plastic pen nib. Over time(And it takes very little, I had visible pen nib wear after 3 days of all-day drawing) it will wear the pen nib to a chisel shape, which then has a tendency to cut into the tablet surface. You can choose between damaging your tablet or spending an annoying amount of money buying 2-3$ replacement nibs all the time. This surface protector sheet however solves the above problems completely. It's a smooth plastic sheet, not unlike the old smooth Intuos models, with the very edges fitted with a non-damaging adhesive that can be repositioned or removed. I have a small Intuos4 and found that the protector sheet fit nearly perfectly. The adhesive edges are just nestled outside the active area, meaning you can draw all the way to the edge without running out of protective surface. I found it quite easy to put the cover on the tablet, no tools needed, plus the instructions had some added wisdom about making sure no cleaner residues were present. If you want your nibs to last essentially forever and your surface to remain pristine, I highly recommend this cover. It's also cheaper than the Wacom product, does the same job, and is in stock much more often than what Wacom offers. 5Was expecting something differentI was expecting a full plastic cover like the one that came with my original Wacom Graphire but this little clear decal cover does the job and makes sure you don't scratch up your surface with the pen. 4Acceptable, with Notable Points of FrustrationThe product does what it is intended to do; protect the drawing surface. In that regard the product is good. I knocked off two stars because the shipping speed is pretty slow. It took a week for the product to actually be shipped and another to arrive. There also aren't any options available to expedite shipping. This wasn't the end of the world but it added unnecessary frustration. The other is that the screen doesn't actually fit the drawing space properly. It's too tall and not quite wide enough. The first isn't a problem--just something to note. The second isn't a big deal but it's annoying; a small portion of sticky tape will end up needing to be on the drawing surface. It won't notably impact your ability to use it but this strikes me as a product flaw. On the whole, I've had a mediocre experience with regard to this product through this company. 3Works perfectlyI own a Wacom intuos 3 that the overlay started to get a few grooves . Couldn't find an inexpensive replacement overlay so I bought a nearly new Intous 4 small. I then bought 2 of the Posrus covers to keep the new tablet pristine for as long as possible and to change the feel back to the smooth surface I liked. The covers work perfectly !. I then had the idea to see if the second cover would actually work on the Intous 3. While it is a little longer then the pad on the 3 it fits the top and has allowed me to continue using it as my writing surface at workThank you Posrus !!!!!! 5POSRUS Wacom Intuos 4 Small Pen Tablet Surface CoverThis kept the tablet from being scratched and the pen tablet seems to not have been worn away yet? The thing is this cover has sticky stuff on one side. Once you adhere it to the tablet it is stuck there. I do not know what will happen if I try to remove it?Anyway, this is a good tablet protector. 4Installing the Posrus Tablet Cover SheetThe Posrus Cover Sheet for the Wacom Pen Tablets should be a worthy addition to reduce pen nib wear. However, there is a problem with it in that it ships without any instructions on how to apply the cover sheet squarely to the tablet surface, and it is not the same size as the tablet's active area.As you receive the cover, it is a thin, flat translucent plastic sheet with " wide adhesive applied to the edges on one side. Over the edge adhesive strips is, of course, a glossy paper covering and then over that whole side is a static cling sheet of light weight flexible plastic to prevent finger prints before application. The size of the Posrus Tablet Cover Sheet at first seems odd. It is " wider than the tablet's active area, but " longer from top to bottom, so applying it evenly requires some care. I managed that by laying the Cover Sheet on the active area before removing the backings and marking the position temporarily with yellow sticky notes just beyond the edges. Then I pealed the static sheet back about a third of the way from the top edge and used an X-acto knife point to lift a corner of each of the four pieces of the adhesive backing paper, folding a tab of the backing out from the edge at an angle. That made it easy to put the cover in place between the yellow notes, peal the paper from the top edge adhesive and burnish that edge in place with a finger nail; followed by removing the rest of the backings and burnishing the rest of the adhesive strips. The only question I have now that my cover is in place is whether the sharply cut edges on the cover will damage the pen nib, possibly more than the Wacom tablets surface, if in my exuberance I pass the edges of the cover and try to swing back onto it again without lifting the pen. I guess avoiding that will be part of the learning process. 5Protective Intuos coverI bought this after reading some mixed reviews. But I must say, this works quite well.It completetly covers the table area and I've had no issues with glue or tape residue leaking out around the sides. This cover feels like the older style Wacom tablet with a slick surface. It does make the stylus tip glide so much better. On the other hand, for what it's made of (thin clear plastic wi/ clear tranfer tape around sides) the cost of product & shipping could be cheaper. 4Looks A Little Rough, But I'm Glad I Purchased!I was hesitant to purchase this item, but I'm glad I did. I was a bit hesitant to purchase due to the cost and lack of numerous reviews. When I learned that it would not only protect the Intuos, but also that it would change the scratchy sticky surface of the Intuos to a smoother slicker surface, I had to try it. I used to have a slick surface ArtPadII, and I just did not like the surface of the Intuos 4. I felt like I had to force the pen, because I have such a light hand. I was excited to try the POSRUS, and counted the days until it got here.Well, it works!! I love the change the film made on the surface. It is much smoother, and now my light hand doesn't abruptly lock on the surface. I can draw much more freely. Also the protection gives me piece of mind. However, the con is how it looks. It has adhesive around the edges, and well...it looks a little rough. You can see graininess where the film attaches to the pad, all around the edges. Also, it not sized "exactly" right. The sides seem to be fine, but the height is a little long, so that if you apply the film exactly at the top, you will have a bit of overhang at the bottom of the surface. The tablet kind of lost it's slick look once it was applied. However, once tried the smooth surface, realized how much money I would save on nibs, and also keep the surface mark free, I decided I could live with it. I've added some photos to the user pictures of the item, so you can see how it looks before you buy.If the adhesive was more "invisible", this product would be perfect. But, overall I am very happy with it. At the time I purchased it, I thought the price and shipping was a little high. At time of review, the price has come down a bit so I will order another for the future. 4
