With my VHF radio mounted neatly under my Boston Whaler console, I always had difficulty hearing it, especially when underway. This little external speaker solved that issue. I can hear you now!CONs: Magnetic interference with my compass was an issue in selecting where to locate it. I finally accepted a 2-degree compass error as the best I could do and still put it on my small console top -- 'way over to one corner. I don't see why they don't make these to allow for near-compass installations. Also, the mounting knob-screws are dinky but work. 3Five Stars Mounted the speaker overhead on my T-top. Small, compact and produces quality audio. 5boat boat 4Three Stars Its ok, but not very loud, should have went to a bigger speaker, but it is clear. 3Great little compact remote VHF speaker. This little speaker works great. My radio is mounted just inside the hatch and is impossible to hear when running at speed. I mounted the speaker on the top of the dash and now can hear the VHF at all speeds, even when the top is up which reflects motor noise. Very easy to mount, used the included sticky tape, ran the cable through the existing hole for the fish finder cable and plugged into the VHF. Simple as that. 5Five Stars good speaker 5we use it on police motorcycles great product, great quality, good service. we used on police motorcycles for radio repeat out of the fairing.we didn't have room for the stock speaker. this worked great 5Five Stars Cheap is good. Works fine. 5Like most boaters Like most boaters. My radio is located within my electronics box and can not hear a thing from it at cruise. I easily connected the speaker to it and ran the wire along my t-top just above my head. A few zip ties and this speaker is practically hidden. It's also easily removable since I did a temp install. I can now hear radio calls while at cruise. 5
