    Great Choice for People Looking to Use a Headset With a Desk Phone, Computer, and Cell.The overall quality if this headset is great. Wanted a device I could use at work with my cell, desk phone and computer and this turned out to be a great choice.The computer is connected via USB and Plantronics offers software that that allows you to update firmware and tweak settings. The cell phone was immediately connected and works flawlessly. I did have some issues getting it properly configured with a Cisco phone and there wasn't a great step-by-step guide even for one of the most common phones.The sound quality is great and the binaural headset is enough to muffle the outside sounds in a busy office. The battery easily last though the work day and the only time I have come into a dead bad battery was after leaving the head set laying on my desk over a weekend rather than charging it.4My husband works from home and this was recommended to himMy husband works from home and this was recommended to him. He has been using it for a few months now and loves it. It cancels out surrounding noise that would otherwise distract him during conference calls. There is an echo, a constant buzz and a humming all at the same time! I am back with my simple plug to the phone headset. I have ordered another headset that is noise cancelling that plugs into my hand held, so I can walk around but have stellar noise reduction. I like to listen to music and have an occasional barking dog I do not want others to hear.1This headset is everything that I have come to expect from PlantronicsThe setup and install was extremely easy, No driver download required (I'm using Windows 7 Pro 64bit for reference). Tested functionality on PC, Android Mobile, and Avaya 4625SW IP Phone.Here are some helpful items:I called Plantronics prior to purchasing to finalize my research. I wanted to know what the difference was between the SAVI-720 and SAVI-720M models since there is no comparative chart that I could find showing what the specific difference is (other than the marketing speak).I found that the only difference is the way the headset identifies itself to the PC. Plantronics advised that there is no enhancement in audio quality or added functionality to the M version. The 720M version has a different enumeration that allows Windows to load drivers without the user having to download them from Plantronics manually; and enables the presence features in MS softphones.According to Plantronics the price for either model should be identical (the MSRP is identical). I recommend purchasing the 720M over the 720 for ease of PC install even if you do not plan on running Microsoft client software (You do not need to be using Microsoft Lync, OCS, or other MS softphones to make full use of the 720M.)One item to take special note of, this headset is binaural-mono, not stereo. There are reviews with complaints regarding the music sound quality and lack of stereo. If the purchaser's expectations are primarily for entertainment, then this is not the headset for you. Plantronics is famous for it's office/business related equipment, and the SAVI line is designed for that purpose.The Plantronics Hub software is optional and is manually installed for either the 720 or M versions. This is how you would update firmware and it also provides the systray interface that shows the battery level and allows tweaking of settings such as voice quality and amplification.Note that the default setting for the Deskphone Audio is Narrowband; this is to extend battery life. It can be changed to Wideband, providing a much more "full" sound, however it will shorten the overall talk time. (I have not tested wideband beyond a comparative, so I do not have stats on how much shorter the battery life is).Battery life at the default setting is incredible. I work a 10 hour day and 90% of that day is on the phone. by the end of the day the battery meter is between 75% and 50% (with actual 7+hours minimum talk time) *Battery indicator appears to update every 25%*5Love it for the most partLove it for the most part. It works fantastically, for my hubby that works from home. Our only issue is that the piece at the very top broke within 2 weeks of receiving and using. Makes it very unstable, but since it is used daily for my hubby's conference calls, he is having to use it broken! Pretty sad after all of the researching I did to choose the best one, and after paying a good amount of money for it. :(3Just fantasticI had previously purchased some "cheap" headsets. Telling myself, that all I need. I can honestly say, no it's not. These are great and worth every dollar. The wireless is amazing, I can walk anywhere in my house and even out to my yard while using this headset.5Two ears are better than oneGreat headset. Went from the Sennheiser Office Runner to this because our sales floor gets loud (think wolf of wall street) and the one ear headset wasn't cutting it. This headset completely surpasses the other in almost every way. The only con I can think of is that it can feel weighty after wearing it all day, but that's it.
