I have a Polycom VVX410 phone and a Jabra headset. This cable works great and was so easy to set up. Actually it did work, you just couldn t pick up the call from the headset without pushing the headset button on the phone, since the phone didn t have a way of knowing that you picked up. I saw some other reviews about the distance between the plugs but that wasn t a problem for us.5Expensive, but it works perfectly We've been using Polycom phones with Plantronics wireless headsets - and the combination works great except for the fact that the answer button on the headset doesn't work without using a handset lifter.To me, handset lifters have always seemed a bit kludgy; but, this cable completely solves the issue without needing a lifter. All you need to do is replace the default Plantronics-to-phone interface cable with this one and everything works perfectly.I will say that I originally just plugged the cable in and was disappointed when it didn't work as expected. After a few minutes of trial-and-error I ended up pulling the one-page instruction sheet that came with this cable out of the trash and actually read it :). The key was to adjust the settings on the phone to Analog/Plantronics Mode, and then everything worked perfectly.I know it seems expensive; but, when compared to the cost & hassle of a lifter, this cable really isn't a bad deal. I would recommend it if you're using a Plantronics headset with a Polycom phone. 4Dead on arrival Dead out of the box. No option to return so just bought another one and works perfect. 1I'm sure this is a quality product, but was ...I'm sure this is a quality product, but was not compatible with my Polycom VVX410 office phone. Did not ring in the earpiece to let you know you had an incoming call. Could not use the answer button on the headset when you had an incoming call, still had to answer using the "headset" button on the desk phone. Headset didn't seem to recognize when you had a connected call is it would turn off / disconnect mid call.2needs to be longerThis works as advertised but it needs to be at least a foot if not 2 feet longer. Plantronics states their charging base needs to be a minimum of 6" away from the phone and that's about how far away you can place the charging base with this unit. The problem is you may not want the charging base in a 6-12" distance from your desk phone because of the other equipment on your desk but you have no choice. For the cost of this the very least Plantronics could have done was make the cord longer.When I called Plantronics to resolve the below noted problem the tech said best results would be achieved if the charging base was 3 feet away from the phone & computer (I also have the charging base connected to my computer to use Lync). It didn't occur to me until after I hung up that was not possible because of the cord length.Also, on my new Polycom desk phone the default setting was not set for the Plantronics Electronic Hookswitch (there are 3 or 4 other headset manufacturers in the settings) and initially I was losing calls after a few minutes. Plantronics telephonic tech support was able to diagnose the problem.3It looks like you have to get an extender to get them ...Bought a few of these for work for Polycom VVX 401 phones. They work well for those phones and the Plantronics-CS540 Convertible Wireless Headset. However, they aren't long enough for the Polycom VVX 201 second port.
