Customer Reviews

Item is perfect and very well constructed Used this on my travel trailer. Most rv parks have a 30, 50, and 15 amp outlet on the pedestal at each site. This provides us a second source within the trailer to take the load off of my load center. Simply added a two gain outlet inside my trailer and plug directly into the pedestal GFCI OUTLET. Worked awsome. Item is perfect and very well constructed. No issues at all with installation. 5It's just fine for connecting your camper to a 15 amp 110 ... It's just fine for connecting your camper to a 15 amp 110 circuit. . .ergo, an ordinary household size/style extension cord. Not a big shore power plug, but if you don't need one of those, this is fine. Easy install, but be careful to measure for the hole saw or drill you will want, this is no place to drill an oversize hole. 5Extra camper heater circuit bought this for our camper for extra 20 Amp circuit so we can use space heater in cooler months. We don't have to worry about overloading our 30 amp main camper power. With this addition we can save propane and stay warm. Most campgrounds in Ohio have 30 and 20 amp circuits. 5Great This is a great, well made plug that I purchased to replace my plug from Minn Kota. The M Kota plug is not direct wired and kept dropping out of the housing, very frustrating on a thru Hull battery charger application. This is the one to buy, very secure mounting and no worries of a poor connection. Don t even consider M Kota, buy this one, you ll be happy you did. 5Overall, good product. UPDATE..eerrrg! This power inlet does exactly what it should. I have been using it on an enclosed cargo trailer for several months now. There were a few small issues. The size hole you need to cut is of an odd size. Your set of hole saws will probably not have the size needed. You'll either have to buy an individual saw or make one of yours work the best you can. Second, the flange or lip around the face used for attatching it to the exterior wall leaves very little room for error on the size hole you need to cut. Initially, I was concerned about the cover and plug in clearance. But so far both have been a non-issue. The cover is holding up fine and stays put when travelling at highway speeds. And, two of my three extension cords fit into the recess for connecting. Overall, good product, and I have purchased more than once now.UPDATE: Put a brand new one on a new trailer (same as before). Had always noticed that the plug was pretty snug on both trailers. The problems began when a new extention cord was purchased for use on the new trailer set up. Between the receptacle being snug, and the tight fit of the new cord, it was beyond snug. Almost difficult to plug in, and definitely difficult to unplug. Even after about a year's worth of use, neither of the two loosened up at all. Eventually this has led to the ground prong being pulled from the socket. My options now are to purchase another one of these just for the internal part, or find a completely different name brand that has the same size hole. Either is frustrating, especially the price has almost doubled since I last purchased one of these. Ultimately, I'd recommend to others, try to use an older extention cord that has the prong & blade holes worn from use. Especially if you plan on plugging and unplugging on a regular basis. I did remove one star because of this issue. 3Worked great Worked perfect for adding a plug for a second ac unit I installed in my RV. Glad it was mountable by the three screws it came with due to the thickness of the RV wall was too thick for the nut on the back to work. Also if you cut the hole slightly under size you can screw the unit into what you are mounting it to for a very secure fit. 5Works great for block heaters These work great for block heaters. I have installed a couple of them on Ford Powerstrokes. The cord on those often fails from dangling in the wind while driving eventually breaking the wire internally. This is a great fix for that. Installation is really simple with a hole saw.Follow up. The cover on this will not stay in place and is always out of place. This is not consistent with the an older version of this same item. It is actually kind of annoying but I live wiht it. I think the cover needs a tigher fit to the body. 3Just buy it already. Yup. It works, and looks just like the picture... oh, except its got one of the little prongs turned sideways, which isn't like the picture at all. I mean... I had an extension cord with the same goofy unnecessary sideways prong thing, so it wasn't an issue. But seriously? When did this become a thing? I feel like I'm being pranked. Has that always been a thing or did people just figure out one more way to annoy buyers? 530 amp RV Power Inlet The plug on my RV shorted out and melted the insulation. This plug fit and works great. I was the same size as the old one. 5I was expecting a direct replacement for the item that ... I was expecting a direct replacement for the item that was in my RV, but low and behold, this item does not match the picture. The item I received was more of a plastic connector with three screws to secure vs 4 in the photo, so buyers beware. I did go ahead and install this item while it does not fit the previous hole exactly, I did make it work. AMAZON needs to post pics of product they are actually shipping. From reading other reviews on other items, this does not appear to be an uncommon practice with them. 3
