Customer Reviews

Cut your own fork! This, like all of my Park Tools, is a very high quality product. The clamp secures the fork nicely and fit both my 1 inch and 1.125 inch carbon forks.- To use it, you first clamp the saw guide into a vice (I fortunately have a clamp built into my workbench).- Then you slide the fork into the saw guide and clamp your fork down.- Oiling a new hacksaw blade makes the cut smoother and keeps fewer carbon dust particles in the air- The guide then just guides your blade through the fork. The cut is nice and even.*The only thing that could be improved upon is to see the mark for the cut through the saw guide. This required a flashlight off to the side to illuminate my mark before final clamping. 4ExcelenteRobusta, f cil de usar, excelente resultado en el corte. Justo lo que esperaba. 5Provides a straight cut where it matters...on expensive forks! If you cut steerer tubes at all, even once, this is worth the price. Why would you spend 500, 1000 or more on a fork and hack off the steerer by free-hanidng it? Buy one and let your friends borrow it for a beer! I have used it on several carbon fork/carbon steerer cuts as well as countless cuts on steel and alu steerers. Measure 3 times cut once. Use a sharpie and lots of light. 5I bought to cut the carbon steerer tube on a ...I bought to cut the carbon steerer tube on a new fork and frame I purchased. I used the Park saw blade and taped the carbon tube before cutting. I ended up with a very clean and straight cut. Well worth the money for anyone who needs to make this type of cut. 5Must have for DIYers. If you are a DIYer, this is a must have for carbon bike owners. Bike carbon parts are expensive and this takes the guess work out of ensuring the straightest cut on those expensive parts. While there are many home DIY methods for getting a straight cut, I opted not to go that route as I was cutting a pretty expensive carbon fork steerer tube. Even if you use this sparingly or hell, just once, it's less than the cost and inconvenience to have your LBS do the work. You can also loan to friends and save them a few bucks, too.I'd recommend this tool in a DIYers tool collection. It takes the guess work and worry out of getting a straight cut on those expensive carbon items. 5Works very very wellI wanted confidence in my cut. I got a perfect one. 5Delivers as describedI got this for my first ever new fork installation. It made cutting straight with a hack saw a breeze.Just measure, mark, clamp, and cut. 5Great tool to haveLike all Park tools it is well made and designed to last a long time. I have used this tool with no problem as long as I use a regular 32 tooth hack saw blade. The Park diamond grit blade that I purchased is too wide to fit down in the guide. Just use a regular 32 tooth or greater saw blade and you will have a very straight and clean cut. 5Can't go wrong with a Park ToolNothing like having the right tool for the right job. After paying a shop to do the installation of a new suspension fork because I lacked the correct tool to trim the steerer....they did a mediocre job and didn't trim the steerer leaving me to correct it. Park Tools to the rescue. Like all Park Toools it's extremely well made and easy to use properly. And to make the purchase even better...I'm installing a new suspension fork on my fiance's bike this weekend...already paid for. 5Ok for its jobNormally Park Tools are the best or close to it, this is only good and not great. It felt more like a generic version from a relatively unknown brand. As I installed it in my vice I was initially happy, it fit and was secure. The fork slid in and tightened down nicely being very secure. Then as I grabbed my hacksaw the blade would not fit through the guide, it fit in nicely on one half but the other side the blade would not fit. I had to undo an Allen bolt to loosen it up to allow the blade to fit. If I had bought a cheaper knock off unit this would not have been much of an issue but not expected when buying from the premium brand. 3
