    Description

    • POWER: The XMP100 has 75 watts RMS per channel and bridgeable outputs for 160 watts RMS. This amp can power Dolby Surround Sound systems and enhance the power of OSD outdoor speakers.
    • SOUND QUALITY: With Class D amplification, the XMP100 is 89% efficient while creating a cleaner sound. An input of 1.4 volts is needed to reach full output and signal to noise ratio is A-weighted.
    • SOURCE SWITCHING: Enables users to connect more than one source to the amp. The amplifier has the ability to automatically switch sources from a DVD player to listening to music.
    • CONTROLS: Balance knobs and volume controls are placed on the front while the treble and bass are located on the back. They are ideal for easy use when needing to adjust the volume up or down.
    • CONNECT: OSD Audio recommends using a 3.5mm aux to RCA cable to utilize your smartphone on the amp. Connecting your portable device is made easy to plug into the XMP100 in your own home.

    This is actually pretty cool!In my bathroom I have two sources. One television that has fixed AND variable out RCA's as well as an Echo dot which through a special cable also has two RCA's. Both of these sources are inputs to this amplifier. I have the tv as the main input and the ALEXA as the 'interrupting' input. As I request Alexa to do something the amplifier immediately shifts to Alexa and temporarily mutes the TV while Alexa is talking. As soon as Alexa is done, it automatically switches back to the TV after a few seconds all WITHOUT any intervention. I have to admit...... Pretty damn cool!! There seems to be a long delay after Alexa is finished talking before it switches back to the tv. If it weren't for this long pause (maybe 5 seconds) it would have given it 5 stars across the board. This device my hi-tech home more cool!!. Thanks OSD for making this device.4Buy with confidenceHaving been in the audio industry for nearly 30 years I was a bit skeptical of this brand as I hadn't heard of them before but the price was right and I figured I'd give them a shot.I'm using the amp to drive a pair of OSD Audio planter speakers on my deck and have a Google Chromecast audio as my source.Set up was simple and the sound is great. Plenty of power for light to medium volume which is what I wanted and would expect from an amplifier of this size.5 star rated for now as I've only used it for a few days. If that changes I'll update the review.518 months of use, left side is not workingI've been pretty happy with this amp to date, but it recently started cutting in and out on the left side. I checked all the cables to verify it was the amp. I'm pretty good at testing stuff. I just feel that 18 months for a power amp is not reasonable. I can't figure out how to get service and I'm very open to the vendor helping me resolve this issue. At this point I either need to replace it quickly or get it serviced quickly.2and I'm glad to report I was proven wrongI was a bit worried I was making too much of a compromise... and I'm glad to report I was proven wrong.Well packed, promptly shipped and worked out very well.I purchased a second unit and repeat I am pleased.I installed at two large homes, with double 8 ohm speakers at each channel (4 ohm load)... and no issues.The intent was nice background music, even party music, but at a volume one could still speak OK with others.They worked out perfect.Just tweak the volume setting at the MAX you would ever want the volume to be (with source of music at max as well), and any lower volume is what you will normally listen to.In both homes I found that normal in-wall volume controls did not fit my gang boxes, so I simply installed instead a switch that allows the music to be clicked on or off, the volume is pre-adjusted as I had explained, even remotely as an airport express handles the music and at my hand I control with the phone the selection and volume.5Perfect way to Power Sonos SystemThis product was absolutely what I needed. I recently remodeled a home and placed speakers throughout the house and in the backyard. I have 12 speakers (6 zones) and had been searching for a solution to not power each zone through a separate amplifier or the need to buy expensive control system as I had a Sonos system that I had been building for a few years.I currently have three Sonos connects connected to the system. One is connected to BUS1, one is connected to BUS2 and the other is connected to zone 5. I have zones 1 and 2 set to BUS1 and zones 3 and 4 set to BUS2 as these areas will always want to be playing the same thing. Zone 5 has a separate Sonos connect.I love the auto on/off. A note that sometimes I have to adjust the volume up/down in order to trigger the on. I am no expert, but I assume it is because the amp needs to detect the signal. Not an issue at all. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a good way to power several zones in their home.5Outstanding Value for a 12 channel AmpI needed a 12 channel amplifier for a rather esoteric reason (a virtual pipe organ). This amp fits the bill. I did a lot of research and this amp not only did what I needed but it also was a great value. I dare you to find 12 medium power class AB amps for anywhere near this price. I've been using it a lot for several months and it has worked flawlessly so far. This unit has no fan so it makes no noise. This was extremely important to me. Its class AB amps provide clean low distortion sound.5A poor man's Sonos AmpI set up four if these in my house to power 4 sets of in cieling speakers and connected Chromecast audio to their RCA inputs. Their auto on feature is great, as once you start casting audio to them, they auto turn on after a second. Then they turn off automatically when done. Really nice solution at a fraction the cost of Sonos.5Not reliableBought 5 of these to power speakers throughout an entire home. All 8ohm speakers with impedance matching volume controls.2 out of the 5 have stopped working. Green light on but no output. Replaced with an equivalent audio source amp and haven t had anymore problems. I regret buying these, not very reliableJust FYI, I do this for a living. I usually use the audio source amps but I sprung for these because of the faster shipping time, regrets.1Superb amplifier for additional zonesI purchased this amp for a "zone 2" application - 6 separate patio and pool speakers. The flexibility of the configuration of the amp is superb. You could power up to six separate stereo outputs (12 speakers) or as in my case, bridge each channel and power six speakers with a high power output to each speaker. Keep in mind that in bridged mode, the speakers must be 8 ohms or more.The input flexibility is also superb. There are two separate bus inputs, as well as individual inputs for each of the six stereo channels. Each channel is individually selectable; bus A, bus B or dedicated line in for that channel. Additionally, each channel has its own gain control, so individual channel volume can be adjusted, allowing for a perfect balance of volume to each stereo pair.In my case, there are six speakers total, three stereo pair. I have fed the Left zone 2 preamp output from my receiver (Yamaha RX-A1080) into Bus A and the Right zone 2 preamp output into Bus B. I then assigned the six bridged channels to Bus A and Bus B alternating; Channel 1 to Bus A, Channel 2 to Bus B, etc. and used those to power the left and right speakers respectively. This arrangement gave me three stereo pair to different areas of my patio/pool, with each output individually adjustable.The sound quality is crisp and clear. I'm sure this amp is good enough to pair well with audiophile grade speakers, as well as high quality ceiling mount and outdoor enclosures as in my application. It's not a massive powerhouse, but for my application, the power is more than sufficient.The only complaint I have is that the auto-on feature requires a significantly high input level to fire. I sometimes have to turn the zone 2 volume on my receiver up to about -20db to get the amp to turn on, and then adjust the zone 2 volume back down to my desired listening level. However, this is better than the sensitivity being too low, and having the amp turn on when it's not supposed to. The auto-off feature works perfectly...the amp goes into standby after a few minutes of no input. Build quality is also impressive...it has some heft to it for sure.Overall I'm very pleased with this amplifier and highly recommend it for similar multi-zone applications.5Good Value for the PriceThis amp works well so far (3 days). Optical analog and bluetooth inputs all work fine as does the sub output. I can't measure the power output, but based on my experience with other budget class D amps, this one is close to its advertised output. The included remote is simple but excellent. I would really like to find a nero link XD available somewhere to pair with this for multi room audio capabilities. Overall this amp is a good option for small to medium sized rooms. If it continues to function this well into the future, I will certainly upgrade my rating to 5 stars.4
