Customer Reviews

It's OKIt works as advertised but is a little pricey for what it is. Be careful if your lens is >67mm diameter. The hole in the neoprene face needs to be enlarged for any lens >~55mm dia so there's little material left after fitting to a larger diameter lens. 3Great way to hold camera or binocs close to your body while activeI often use one of these along with an OP/TECH harness. While the camera lens can project through the hole which is some-what stretchable, it can be place over binocs or a camera to keep them from flopping around while you are active, and easily moved away when using either. 5Panasonic FZ1000 too heavy for this strapI purchased this item for my Panasonic FZ1000. Unfortunately my camera is way too heavy for the strap to work. The strap is made very well & the opening fits the large lens. If you have a lighter camera this will probably be perfect. 3... used this strap ten years ago and was very pleased with it thenI used this strap ten years ago and was very pleased with it then. I bought this new one to use hiking with my Lumix LX100 camera. The lens just fits through the opening in the front, and the strap does a good job keeping the camera from swaying as I walk or climb. Not much else to say about it--it does the job, it's reasonably priced, and I'm happy with it. 5Great camera stabilizerIf your camera isn't too huge, i.e. a smaller DSLR, a m4/3, this strap is inexpensive and good. It keeps the camera from banging around, but it's still very quickly accessible. If your lens diameter is a bit too big for the hole, just cut 4 little slits in the foam. They don't seem to rip. I've used the op/tech strap on almost every hike or backpack without any significant problems. On hot days, perspiration may collect behind the foam area, a mild inconvenience. 5Op/Tech Stabilizer StrapGreat product, it does two things in my opinion.1. Stops your camera from swinging around during hiking, traveling, or just walking2. Takes the weight of the camera strap off your shoulders and places it along the chest area 5My urban exploration third-handWhen wearing my camera and exploring old buildings and the like, the camera swings. When I jump across gaps or swing around railings, it sways and bounces, and bangs into things. Keeping it in a pack would help, but I'd miss a lot of photo ops. So now I use this strap. It's basically neoprene with a strap. Simple, and does the job. I've used it with my 8mm fisheye, 70-200 zoom, 60mm, 17-85 mm and more. Works fine and stretches to fit all my lenses. I tend to wear it closer to my chest then belly (as pictured), plus at chest height it's easier to avoid obstacles. It looks really silly - and you'll often have to remove it to use your camera (just slip the neoprene over the lens) - but the stability it adds is well worth it.Now when I jump, climb and crawl, I can use both hands - instead of keeping one hand on the camera. 4Perfect Camera AccessoryKeeps you camera from jostling around while you walk or hike. Leaves your hands free and keeps your camera protected. 4Very Useful ProductI like to have my camera available when I'm backpacking but trudging along the trail can really cause it to start swaying back and forth. I tried a number of home made solutions but nothing really worked until I found this strap. It's not uncomfortable, the camera is well secured, and it's a quick and easy job to get the camera in action when it's needed. The only draw back is that it does keep the back of the camera up against your body so if you are hot and sweaty the view finder will be misted over. 4Does what it is supposed toThis is a pretty simple concept - you slip the neoprene piece over your lens and run the strap around your body to keep the camera from swinging around. I have used it both hiking and biking, and like that I can have my camera right in front of me without worrying about it bouncing around. The strap is pretty narrow and not sure how durable it will be, but you're not paying much for this device so can't expect a wide, padded strap. The comment below about it not stretching out over long lenses doesn't make sense (to me anyway) because when you want to take a photo you just release the chest strap and bring the camera up to your eye - you could use it on any length lens, IMO. It's not especially good looking, but it does the job and who cares how it looks if you're out in the woods? 4
