    Excellent quality just what I needed. I needed to crimp a ring down in a manhole. I couldn't get my regular crimpers in there. These are good quality, and solved the problem with ease. I like that these can be used in parallel and perpendicular orientation. 5Nice, high quality tool! High quality tool! They work well to crimp or cut Oteiker clamps. I used them to make some custom fuel lines. The real key is using the righr sized Oteiker clamp for the project. Oteiker clamps come in a very large variety of sizes, you need to measure the OD of the hose with the fitting inserted and then select the clamp. 5Must have for the toolbox Purchased with Oetiker pliers. Great addition to my toolbox. Customers prefer the "clean look " of these clamps on their bikes. These work so much better than "worm clamps" . Must have for BMW and Ducati service techs. 5Stop trying with wire cutters These clamps are extremely hard to remove especially if the end of the clamp strap is facing the side where it's impossible to reach or turn - like the intake fuel hose attached to the fuel pump. I tried a wire cutter the size of regular pliers - only pinched the ear couldn't cut it. Ended up using an oscillating saw and risked nicking the fuel line. These pincers easily cut through the steel ear part of the clamps. They're a lot stronger and sharper than regular wire cutters. 5Best way to go for small hoses This tool and the clamps it uses are much better than a worm drive for small hoses 5Bad pivot angles The design is not ver conducive to anyone with less then a XXX size hand. 3Great all-in-one tool for dealing with Oetiker clamps I needed this tool for a job working on my Volvo and I was new to Oetiker clamps and after researching on these type of clamps, I realized that some use a side crimping tool while others use a regular front (or top) crimp style tool. This tool actually performs both and can also be used to cut them off, so it was a fantastic all-in-one tool for the job. Got the job done very well! 5All mechanics should own a set of these pliers if ... All mechanics should own a set of these pliers if they use Oetiker clamps. Commonly used by Mercedes and BMW mechanics. Harley Davidson uses Oetiker clamps on the fuel pump lines inside the tank. Most shade tree mechanics use worm clamps, but Harley's cause extreme motor vibration which causes worm clamps to loosen. Therefore Harley uses these special clamps to minimize loosening by vibration. A must have item! 5A definite must have for the irrigation professional I have a landscape and irrigation business and this tool is a must have for anyone working in a hole on a hard to reach pipe clamp. With the side jaw you just come along the side of the pipe even into small tight areas and you can make your connections. It also has a top pincers to work like a standard crimper. 5The Original. Well made in Germany. This Oetiker tool allowed me to tighten my Oetiker clamps of various sizes. I was forced to use both the side and the front pincers at different times due to space constraints in the engine compartment. It was fortuitous that I ordered the pincers that had provisions for a side crimp (which will probably be most needed in automotive applications). I also used the pincers to remove the old clamp from the hose I was changing out. 5
