It seemed perfect for sharpening things on the job site or in remote locations where you don't have all your normal tools or electricity, etc. I noticed some complaints about it. I don't have any of those issues with it. To test it I sharpened my lawn mower blade. It did the job. Obviously a bit more work than an electric grinder wheel. I was doing it to test the feasibility. I believe it will work in all those odd cases. It is small enough to fit in your tool bag and use in those just in case times. 5Best lawn mower blade sharpener I had one of these years ago and it walked away when I wasn't looking. So far I've sharpened the lawn mower blades and a machete. Expected a lot more from this than a bar of sand that falls apart. Tried it on shovels, and ax, and a lawn mower blade. Steel proves to be too hard for this bar of sand. It just falls apart while barely scratching the steel. Just buy a quality file instead. 2
