Good light, horrific clip issues, but updated model better has better clip.. After completing a test and evaluation period looking for a disaster response light for my organization, The bottom line is the light is great, the clip is a fantastic idea however horribly engineered. The clip will fail. The plastic polymer is noticeably soft, allowing the clip to cam itself left and right. This twists the hinge pin and cams out the holes in the body and the clip. The clip is very sloppy and will break......... its a shame as the light itself is fantastic with is dual led options....... I will likely be going with the more simplistic Bright Star Razor Worksafe with its simple and inferior single led, but robust bombproof design sans clip or an option from Streamlight...... I hate the reality of a faulty clip overshadowing an otherwise fantastic product. I will probably run the nightstick without a clip but that kills me as it's a really nice option. The beam is robust and throws very well with a pretty tight focus. Feels good in the hand and weight is just right. Ditch the screw in the bezel unless your situation requires it, for most not in an explosive atmosphere it is simply an unnecessary nucense, just remove it. Nightstick-please for all of our sakes fix the clip issue, you would 100% hands down dominate if you squared away the clip......Update---After a return, the replacement had an updated clip design.....better but not great. Clip aside, it will be a great light. This may meet your needs if you don't plan on needing the clip. 4Excellent. This is an excellent flashlight. A welder retiring from Charleston Naval shipyard gave his to me if you years ago. Since then I gave one to my mother, and my best friend. He asked me to order one for another friend. This did not come with batteries, it tells you to use a very specific type, none of us could find that type, and it doesn't seem to matter. Very strong beam, you can turn on both at the same time to look out ahead of yourself and to see immediately where you're stepping. You'll be glad to have this, it's a good buy. 5Hairline crack in the base Since I cut the package open to use it, and the light certainly will work fine for daily use, I'll settle, but the crack in the base means it's not waterproof. Someone in QA dropped the ball. Otherwise I imagine it would be a solid light without the defect. 4I have seen the light! And it is this one. A fine piece id equipment, it is lightweight and bright besides being very easy on batteries.i work on ships where intrinsically safe lights are only allowed and this light fits the bill. My favorite part is that it has a strong bright forward beam and a secondary optional beam that illuminates downward to see where you are stepping . I like mine so much I am ordering more for co workers . 5best flashlight This flashlight is the best! The fact that the light not only shines straight ahead but down also is amazing. Such a no brainer of an idea yet this is the first I have seen it. I heard that utility workers use this. 5Great flashlight with flood light Great durable flashlight. Not as bright as some of the tactical lights you see at sporting goods stores, but super convenient with its separate and independent spot and flood LEDs. Comes with a wrist lanyard and a strong integrated non-removable belt clip. 5The best personal flashlight I have ever had. Pros:The single best feature is the dual light. It has a forward facing spot light that is incredibly bright and very focused. It also has a down facing flood light that lights the next foot steps, while the spot lets you see what is coming up.It claims to run for 14.5 hours on 3 AA batteries. I have not used it enough to comment on that.It has a great spring loaded clip, and a wrist strap.It is non-metallic and claims to be intrinsically safe. I am not allowed to carry a metallic flashlight at work do to electrical equipment, so the polymer housing is a must for me.It claims to be watertight to one meter. I will leave that to others to test.Cons: The only negative is an allen screw on the lens cap, which you are instructed to loosen and re-tighten to install the batteries. Who carries an allen key on them? Fortunately it was not tight and I have no intention of tightening it. 5Badly designed reflector for primary beam greatly reduce light output from the flashlight. About a 90 lumen light with main beam but at a distance of 10 feet most of the light is concentrated into an 8 inch circle. The second light is useful but not enough to overcome the lack of a good beam from the main reflector which is poorly designed. Unfortunate that the reflector was not done well as the rest of the design is quite good. 2Great Flashlight While this is a bit pricy for a flashlight, it's worth it. It's lightweight, easy to find with it's bright yellow color, and the beam of light extends far. I love that there is two options for the light, and both can be used simultaneously, and it's very durable as well. My husband uses these with his job, and he loved them, so bought two for home. 5Design is Stellar with Build quality to match I bought this for the sensible fact of it having illumination at your feet in addition to distance in front. It does exactly that quite well, and is durable yet very lightweight. The clip is as sturdy as you will need it with a nice lanyard too.The bright color of the body really is a nice factor too, easy to find. I like that it runs on AAA batteries too, easy to find and lightweight. 5
