    Spare the rod, spoil the caulk gunThis is a very smooth operating, very powerful caulk gun. However, it is missing two very useful features that one would find on much less expensive models: a cutter to snip the end of a caulk tube and a puncture rod for the seal between the tube and the nozzle. I can see that because of the design a cutter might be difficult to incorporate, but it would have been very easy to add the rod to the body of the gun. It has caused me much aggravation not to mention delays looking around for a nail or an old drill bit to puncture the seal. Come on, Brothers.4Five Stars This thing is butter-smooth. One thing to note, it isnt a drip less gun, but that isnt so much of a issue in the long run overall. Im a window installer assistant so i use this guy every day and so far its been a champ.5Vital necessityIf you're using PL Premium, epoxies, and assorted adhesives this is the gun! It makes using those cartridges an easy one handed operation. For simple caulking go with something much cheaper, but for the hard to push stuff this is a must have! Worth it.5Maybe too powerfulThis is a very well built, high quality gun that will easily pump out any type of caulk. I have used it with dap, silicone, and geocel 2300. Unfortunately I have to return it because while it pushes out that nasty geocel with ease, it always blows out the top of the tube (an issue I never had with lower thrust guns). I did like the gun though and will be replacing it with a lower thrust Newborn gun (the 250)3Quality caulking gunUsed it for Silicon and it worked very well, just have to quickly push the pressure release lever when you're done so the silicon stop flowing from the tube. I wish it had a piercing tool and a cutting tool (to pierce the tube and cut the tip) but other than that it work pretty good and it is well made.5Excellent for dense materials.Excellent gun.I use it rarely, but sometimes it's a life, or rather hand saver.In some rare scenarios we use double chamber epoxy, with mixing tip.Last time we have used standard caulk gun with 10:1 ratio. Well two tubes later 3 big guys had sore hands.With this gun I went through two tubes on my own without any hustles.I would not recommend this gun for standard caulking, but for denser materials it is great.5My handy man stole this from meAnd gave me his one in return.
